I waited about a week after leaving to write this review so that it would be objective and not emotional. I can honestly say the best feature of this hotel was it's proximity to the Salute water bus stop. The pictures online are glossy and photo shopped. The actual hotel is very worn and dated. The carpet and wall covering in the room were faded and worn. They have signs posted that rooms will not be cooled below 26 degrees Celsius (78.8 degrees Fahrenheit!) so nights are miserable! We did have the option of opening the windows but that would have let in mosquitoes. The bathroom is the size of a small closet and anyone of any size will have a hard time maneuvering. The bathroom also was NOT clean. There was hair on the wall under the sink, the sink leaked, and part of the shower stall was chipped off. We informed staff about the leak shortly after checking in but it was never fixed.

We have stayed at dozens of hotels in Europe, Costa Rica, Canada and the USA, this is without doubt the worst hotel at which we have ever stayed. Perhaps the last thorough maintenance for hotel was done twenty-years ago. Sarcastically, I would to say pre-WWII. The beds were mere army cots with deteriorated mattresses. Who knows when the blankets and pillows were last laundered. The carpet was stained with something in red which we chose to ignore. The mosquitoes were well-fed and the A.C. dyed. The breakfast that the website offered does not exist. We left one-day earlier than anticipated due to the conditions of the hotel. On the positive side, the location, over which the hotel has no control, was good. Water ferries were a short walk away.

This property is not the property as advertised. The location is about. 15-20 min walk from the main attractions in Venice, however it is located conveniently close to a Vaporetto (water bus) stop that you can navigate. This property is a collection of buildings, my review is only about the room I had which is in the primary building, but I would guess the same applies to all. The property itself did not have access to laundry or breakfast services as offered. The interior has received no attention for what seems like at least two decades and is tired and worn out. Hot water is sporadic at best, mattresses are paper thin along with the pillows. There are better options available at a similar price point. I would avoid this one.

This is a hotel that is not running in proper condition. Paint flakes from the ceiling, door handles fall off, shower drain is clogged. Most definitely not ideal for the price I paid.

For the price and the peak period we visited in, this place was reasonable. We booked the main building which is clearly much better than the other building. It has ‘faded Wes Anderson’ vibes and has definitely seen better days. That said, it’s an excellent location in a quiet but central location for the vaproretto and there’s a well priced sandwich and coffee shop very close and a good supermarket within a 5 minute walk. It’s Venice and you shouldn’t be spending much time in your hotel room - so with that in mind, it’s fine.

Location was great with a canal view and a great little restaurant. Pretty close to the Vaporetto Salute stop. Staff was not overly friendly, make sure you buy water for the room. You definitely get the feel of old Venice with this hotel. Stayed 2 nights and that was perfect.

Habitación con alfombra sucia y desgastada , empapelado y mobiliarios vetustos y deprimentes baño con lo mínimo , mucamas gritando durante la mañana, no había recepcion después de las 11 PM, si llegabas despues no habia quien te reciba y quedabas afuera. Olor a comida del restaurante de abajo desde las 8 AM. DESEPCIONANTE !!!!. No volvería.

Room was cold, registered it was set at 30 C but it was super cold, hot waster was iffy and bed was broke. Buildings in Venice are super old but this one was just ok. If you just want a place to lay your head then it’s ok. It was clean just needs a little TLC to bring up the experience. I would probably stay someplace else next time. When I checked out there was someone else that was requesting a different room.

la habitación descuidada, la alfombra desgastada, la calefacción horrible, no corrían las persianas para la ventana, no había cancel en el baño, el hotel huele a comida en todo el lobby y en fin, es publicidad engañosa. Fotos que no coinciden con el hotel y además las distancias son infinitas a la plaza san marcos. HORRIBLE Y CARO

Do not stay here...terrible hotel.

There was always hot water and the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in, but ir was to metal framed beds pushed together and not comfortable to share with my partner. No WiFi in the rooms, Tv stuck in Polish so couldnt understand the menus. AC seemed to work when it wanted making the room comfortable about half the time. The bathroom was down a narrow tuled corridor which was slippery when wet. It overlooked the canal which was nice though.

Après avoir attendu longtemps après notre chambre, nous avons découvert une chambre insalubre dans laquelle il ne nous etait pas possible de dormir. Nous l’avons signalé à la réception qui nous a indiqué qu’il s’agissait juste d’humidité. Nous pouvons concevoir qu’en bord de canal il y à beaucoup d’humidité mais la poussière et les taches suspectes sont juste dues à l’absence d’entretien. C’est un scandale de proposer des chambres dans cet état. La réception a accepté notre départ immédiat, et nous a promis un remboursement que nous attendons toujours. Si un jour il arrive…

This was the worst hotel stay ever. We had 4 days of no hot water. There was no manager at the hotel. The receptionists just shrugged their shoulders. Refused to call management. Kept saying a technician was coming to fix it. In the end we went to another hotel. Otherwise the place was seriously run down and shabby.
