Modern hotel with clean, airy rooms and excellent service from friendly staff. Nice roof top pool.

Det første værelse vi fik, lignede en bunker og slet ikke på billedet. Toilettet løb så det larmede, vi havde værelse lige ved elevatoren, og der lugtede af kloak og en masse larm. Jeg brugte alt for meget energi på at få et andet værelse eller en opgradering og var villig til også at betale yderligere. Drt endte med et nyt værelse, da vi havde 2 dage tilbage af ferien, hvilket er øv. Generelt er kvaliteten er værelserne af lav kvalitet. Personalet er ikke gode til at vende tilbage på hendelser. Spurgte efter et strygejern, og de vendte aldrig tilbage, og ville stryge en skjorte inden aftensmaden. De fratog sig al ansvar og jeg venter stadig svar via WhatsApp på en eventuel kompensation, som jeg skrev for to dage siden nu. Poolområdet er lækkert og belligenheden er fin centralt uden at være for tæt på den larmende natteliv. Malta er et dejligt sted, men hotellet krævede for meget unødig energi desværre.

Breakfast was pathetic, paid for to 4 days only went twice, save yourself time and go to a cafe down the street. My toilet broke the first day, the button came off the wall and the toilet wouldn’t stop flushing, told house keeping, then told reception, went out for the day and came back 8 hours later and still wasn’t fixed, told a third person and it was finally fixed, huge waste of water. There is also huge construction work happening next door, which isn’t mentioned on any site, staff don’t tell you when you check in, there is a little note on the desk in your room, saying not their problem, the jackhammer noise starts at 7am and doesn’t stop until about 3pm, so there is no sleeping in or wanting to relax, it’s not so much the noise, as it’s right next to the building it vibrates throughout the building ( i think they know if they mentioned this on their site people wouldn’t book) It does appear the resort is run by a bunch of young staff who are travelling. I would avoid this hotel for at least the next 2 years while construction is happening

Siendo un hotel nuevo no tiene sentido que las ventanas no estén insonorizadas, y más siendo una zona tan turística con ruido. Me pareció muy triste que me pongan una cafetera, una botella de agua y para una estancia de 4 días no me la rellenen, cuando hablamos de agua del grifo filtrada, no embotellada directamente. En el bar de la piscina, los precios muy altos para servirlo todo en vasos de plástico, esto es una tontería, pero si ofreces calidad-servicio, es un plus.

Incredibly disappointing experience given prior reviews, stars of the hotel, and the competition in the area. I expected much better. As a warning - do NOT book a standard room unless this is facing the water for the upcoming months. There is extensive building works taking place behind the Mercure, which you are only notified via a notice once you are in your room. The jack hammering started at 6.50am and was unbearable. Fortunately we were able to move rooms but I would have been asking for my money back without this. Secondly, we arrived at 2pm and were told our room wasn’t yet ready but we would be texted whenever it was. At 3.45pm we still hadn’t been contacted and went back to the hotel and after some confusion our room was then ready and we were able to check in. Again, not a 4* experience. The rooftop area is okay, but doesn’t live up to the pictures. We were not told at check in that we were entitled to a welcome drink at the pool, and so paid for everything we had. Again - disappointing this wasn’t mentioned. Overall just a completely average experience. Would absolutely not recommend given the other major hotel chains in the area. Rooms should be throughly discounted given the building works.

1 - Les chambres ont un vrai problème phonique. Comme mes collègues dans l'établissement, les fenêtres ont un problèe d'étanchéité et laissent passer tout les bruits de la rue, bruyante / incluant les clims des immeubles voisins. L'hotel bien prévenant fournit meme les boules quies pour la nuit ! 2 - la clim ne fonctionne pas - j'ai du ouvrir les fenêtres pour refroidir la pièce. Sinon tout le reste était bien.

The street to the hotel was rundown but the hotel nice. Had issues with the aircon which were quickly dealt with.

Excellent hotel, although they didn’t have an extra bed for our family, we enjoyed the stay. Staff were helpful. Location is great for shops and restaurants.

Stanze grandi, silenziose, buona colazione, ottimo servizio concierge. Unica cosa che non ci ha soddisfatti é la pulizia delle camere nei giorni successivi al primo.

Room spotless, staff very nice and helpful. Only challenge was getting my car in and out of the parking, but the parking was complimentary so all good.

La chambre était grande et bien entretenue. Le personnel est sympathique et parle un très bon anglais. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner est très diversifié et bon.
