Mercure St. Julian's Malta

The hotel was not really that easy to find for me but, once found, it enjoyed it. It was clean, and everyone were very welcoming and friendly even down to the cleaner.the food was great. Though i feel they should limit doughnuts and increase their fruit supply. Maybe some of Malta local fruits. However you have a broad choices of food. I would appreciate if they had oat or soya milk or yogurt for lactose intolerant people. Or gluten intolerance people. Overall it was a good experience. You get to keep your bag at the hotel too if you want. After check out and can chill in by the pool.

Hotel was great, ideal location for exploring from. Great bus links steps always from front door. Unlimited dining options within walking distance. Large clean/comfortable rooms, excellent bathrooms and shower. Amazing selection at buffet breakfast. Great roof terrace with pool for sunbathing and relaxing. Rooms cleaned daily. Would highly recommend staying here! (For sea views you would need to request a balcony room above the 5th floor.)

It needs a easier method to not have to carry your luggage up and down the stairs at the front door to the reception desk. Or, expect the lady behind the counter to carry your luggage.

Very nice hotel, good price, excellent cleaning, good breakfast but can be a bit noisy at night from partying youngster and from the road.

Very helpful staff throughout. Large and comfortable room with excellent walk-in shower, serviced very well every day. Extremely good breakfast with a great variety of cold and cooked food. The pool on the roof is quite small, and not much room around it, but nothing can be done about that - just wish they would turn off the so-called "music/noise", so that guests can just enjoy a peaceful time up there in the sunshine. Overall a most enjoyable stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel itself was very good. Great breakfast and lovely rooftop pool. However, there is building work nearby and noise from the very lively resort of St Julian’s kept us awake - with nightclubs emptying in the early hours. It was very rowdy and we were on the 7th floor!!

It’s a really nice location. The bus was just down the road, with shops both high end and normal. Really loved this location. The hotel was good too. The breakfast was decent, however there were a lot of fruit flies buzzing around the food… for that reason didn’t eat much. No complementary water given either.

Yes, this place was so terrible I had to review it twice on Google and on Expedia as I booked it through here. I would give this place 0 stars if possible because our room, 903, had an INSECT INFESTATION. There were holes in the walls around outlets and the kitchenette which enabled ants? or some kind of insect into the room in this huge pile that got into my partner’s belongings. This was disgusting and took a lot of efforts on our part to have this taken serious by the hotel. We even asked to speak with the hotel manager and we were never contacted by them despite us asking many times as a result of this issue. I would never stay here again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone, not even my worst enemies. Again, this was absolutely disgusting and should’ve been handled with a lot more seriousness from hotel management. Very insulting that management could've even bother to make it a point to speak with us after such a gross issue at their establishment and after us asking multiple times. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!

Great location in St Juliens close to nightlife, staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful clean room and view from rooftop pool. Definitely recommend!

Happy with the hotel. The staffs are friendly. I have stated there on 2 occasions.

Nice modern property. Generally clean and new furnishings. The area was nice but directly outside the hotel was building works, which itself wasn’t too bad. But the street is narrow and drivers are impatient, beeping early in the morning and late in evening. Sometimes people loiter outside and the noise wakes you if your room has a balcony. I didn’t hear other residents or people in rooms around us so that was good. The hotel staff were friendly enough. The cleaning staff were cheerful. I do think they start too early in the morning. I was woken by some vigorous vacuuming and moving of furniture. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. The TV had mainly Italian and Austrian channels which is strange when the second language of the country is English! But we could log into YouTube and Netflix which was great. The WiFi in the hotel is very good much better than at home!! Fastest hotel WiFi I’ve ever used. The pool area was clean, wish the pool was warm in winter but it was nice to use. The area has plenty of restaurants and cafes, and you can get around the island easily on the bus or via taxi. We didn’t eat at the hotel as there was little to offer as vegans. I would definitely come to Malta again but I wouldn’t stay here again unless I needed to be in the immediate area.

Staff were amazing, attentive and accommodating. The hotel was very well maintained and located perfectly within St Julian’s. I would certainly stay here again.

Great hotel in great location. Nice staff and clean rooms. Free underground parking. Plenty to see and do around the area.
