Bien en general solo la TV no funciona no durante toda la estancia

Las habitaciones están limpias, el personal es muy amable, la comida del restaurante está buena, la alberca está bien sabrosa, y la vista desde el hotel es bonita

Limited dining options but quick 100 peso taxi into centro. Built against a cliff so the inherent many stairs are difficult for older or non-fit people. Makes for a good workout. Beach access very good. Staff on the grounds, restaurant, and reception could not be better.

Habitación limpia, muy buen servicio al cliente, deliciosa cena en uno de sus restaurantes, servicio de transporte a la salida del hotel, muy linda vista al océano, a pie de playa y en medio de un precioso bosque, su personal todos bien amables. Cumplió mis expectativas. Muchas gracias! Pd. No recomendable para personas con problemas en sus piernas. Muchas escaleras.

Estuvimos muy cómodos, felices y contentos, una playa excelente, una alberca climatizada, una vista espectacular desde todos los ángulos, las habitaciones, el restaurante y la recepción de las mejores vistas.

De entrada estaría súper que actualizaran las fotos o descripciones de las habitaciones, nosotros antes de realizar nuestro viaje seleccionamos la habitación más aceptable para lo que buscábamos de acuerdo a las fotos (habitación cómoda con A/C p/2 personas) y al llegar nos dijeron que por el precio se nos iba a dar una habitación que corresponde a esa “categoría” por la que habíamos pagado, promoción que expedía lanzó por tener poca demanda y ser entre semana y la sorpresa fue que la habitación no contaba con A/C (caso raro porque jamás nos había sucedió que en clima tropical haya habitaciones sin A/C cuando supuestamente por nombre el hotel lleva “resort”), desde fuera se veía muy abandonado el lugar de la habitación como si no se habitara y no se hubiera usado en mucho tiempo. En fin contactamos a expedía y el hotel solucionó cambiándonos de habitación. Por el precio es aceptable, el trato del personal es regularmente bueno, las instalaciones están aceptables, pero si le faltaría un poco más a la limpieza, no esperábamos un hotel 5 estrellas, pero por costo-beneficio está aceptable. Si sería de bastante ayuda que actualizaran o sus fotos o descripciones de cada habitación para evitar futuros inconvenientes. Ubicación: Buena Comida: Rica Atención: Buena

Is right on the beach la ropa !!

La alberca muy limpia con agua templada. En la playa las tostadas de camarón y los ceviches muy buenos. Las vistas desde el restaurante excelentes. Los desayunos muy buenos

En general todo muy bien, el personal muy amable, la vista de las habitaciones increíble, tiene su encanto de antaño el hotel

Catalina Beach Resort is my happy place. The beach and views are amazing, the staff excellent, and though the property is a bit tired it is clean and well maintained. Their beach bar is the best and the breakfasts outstanding. Be mindful that it spills down the cliff and there are many stairs! I love this place.

There are many nice aspects of this old hotel -- built in the 50s and 60s on a high cliff 240 stone steps above Playa La Ropa (best beach in the area). Let me say I am an American and this place caters to mostly Mexicans. I did have a great stay, but there are rough spots that people should know about and some that management could fix. First there is zero 'room guide' that would assist those unfamiliar with such things as the AC (that has ~ 6 modes, only 2 of which cool the room). Cable TV (0 streaming -- the wifi was not functional in our room (Room number in high 40s) was difficult to manage - major networks had Spanish overdubs only -- dont come for the TV... ALL of the food service is VERY SLOW. The breakfast guys do ok -- AND you have the cool morning breezes and spectacular view while you wait. The beach snack bar service was SUPER BAD -- very very slow. The Hotel sells Day Passes to non-guests for 400 pesos and they get full credit towards buying food and drinks (so if they order 400 pesos worth of stuff its 'included' -- and the staff cant keep up with the orders... it seems. We ordered a shrimp cocktail (awesome) and a few drinks and it took at least 30 minutes to arrive and that only after we left our chair area and bugged them about our order at the bar there (this is all stuff that should be premade and super easy to serve.. ? wtx) Anyway, the beach is great,calm, sandy ! BYO there. Grounds are a beautiful jungle with birds etc.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms with daily maid service, great view of beach and ocean. There is a beach bar with service on the beach and a sunset bar with a nice happy hour.
