We loved our stay. The place is beautiful and we can’t wait to return.

If you want different experiences from regular hotels you can stay .. this is not hotel or Airbnb or house it’s something.. 100$ per night not worth. Area is completely slum

Just an incredibly lovely place. Great location in centro, near the bus station, with charming decor (plus resident gatos!) and a great rooftop to enjoy. Guillermo, the manager, was extremely helpful and allowed me to leave my luggage in the office until check in time. Instructions for the room (and the various keys) were clearly delineated. The continental breakfast (which some have groused about) was adequate--this isn't the Holiday Inn or other generic chain. I added an americano from the café downstairs (also lovely) and enjoyed it on the rooftop in the morning. Only regret was that I couldn't stay another day or three, but I would (and will) return. Thank you!

It was cute but i was disappointed with the “free breakfast” literally two slices of bread in ziplock bags, while downstairs its a full cafe. In my opinion don’t promote free breakfast.

Love Maison Tulum

Guillermo welcomed U.S. and escorted U.S. to our room which was the best room. When I mentioned I had trouble walking up stairs he was willing to change us to accommodate me. He was so helpful and kind. I loved the feel of being in the jungle and the restaurant was pure joy and so delicious. I loved staying there. Highly recommend it!

Guillermo is a gracious and welcoming host in the beach town of Tulum. The small Maison Tulum has been decorated in an artful, quirky, colourful way to look like it's right in the jungle, and it's very captivating and surprising at every turn. There's a very good restaurant attached - perhaps operated separately - that serves breakfast and lunch. And the ADO bus terminal is just two blocks away, very convenient.

Old, not in good condition, shower leaked, only 1 pillow, no blanket. Wouldn't go back.

We booked the ground floor suite which would have been nice if not for that annoying sewer smell. We had to buy a candle to get rid of it. The suite is large and comfortable with a nice secluded patio. But… no shampoo or conditioner, no bath mat, no hand towels, no dish cloth, no coffee machine, no chairs on our patio (We had to take the kitchen chairs out but were told not to leave them outside), little details lacking that would make it so much nicer. Cleaning is upon request. Other than that, the hotel is charming, colorful, with funky decorations and so many plants. The courtyard and rooftop terrace are cool. The adjoining restaurant is amazing. Location is two blocks from Tulum main road, walking distance from bus station. Lots of restaurant options around.

This place was AWESOME. A little gem completely hidden away from all the hubbub, but easily walkable to it. Our room was large, had everything we needed, the bed was just the right kind of firm, the water was hot, And the owner/manager is beyond kind and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

I love this place, its like being in the jungle with lots of art, the room was big, nice Lightning, confortable bed and nice shower. Very clean and wonderful staff Thank you

This was just the old historic feel I was looking for from days gone by and it was great! Lledro the mgr was always available and the breakfast/ lunch was excellent food wonderful Barrista and service!

Cet hôtel est bon pour une nuit , un dépannage , mais pour un séjour d'une semaine c 'est difficile , accès avec un escalier en colimaçon tres étroit, le passage est impossible avec des valises , marches tres hautes ,ménage fait aléatoirement , sol sale et gras , matelas peu confortable, salle d'eau peu pratique et lorsqu'il pleut l'eau rentre par le plafond. Ils ne viennent même pas enlever la valeur de 3 ou 4 sauts d'eau. Nous avons utilisé nos serviettes de plage pour cela.

we had comfortable stay

We stayed one night at Maison Tulum after having stayed for 4 nights at Maison Bacalar, and both places were definitely our best stays during our time in Mexico. We ended up at Maison in Bacalar by coincidence as we took a look at the place without having a reservation, but we were warmly welcomed by the manager Flor who showed us around and made us feel at home immediately. Afterwards, we decided also to spend a night at Maison Tulum. In both places, rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds were comfortable and the shower was great. The decoration of the hotels and rooms is really unique and cozy. In Tulum, Maison is located right in the town center, but it is still relatively quiet and a few minutes away from the noisy main street. In Bacalar, it’s located in a quiet area a 20-30 min. walk outside the town, but near the lake in a really nice garden where we could hear the birds singing. The best part of the stay was the very personal service provided by Flor and the staff, who genuinely cared about their guests. Flor was also always available on WhatsApp to answer any questions and give recommendations on where to go in the area. You can of course find more luxurious resort style hotels in the area if that’s what you’re after, but in our opinion, it can’t compete at all with the whole atmosphere and personal service that we experienced at Maison. We highly recommend staying at Maison in both Tulum and Bacalar, and hope to come back someday!

Très bon accueil du propriétaire. Hôtel sympathique au cadre coloré et très bien situé. Chambre spacieuse avec tous les équipements nécessaires.
