Best location in Oslo. Walking distance to the shopping area and Aker Brygge and restaurants around. Good breakfast and very comfortable bed. Definitely will choose Karl Johan when I visit Oslo next time.

Our stay at the Karl Johan was excellent. The room was very cozy, it even had a small Christmas tree that helped decorate the room with the holiday spirit. It is strategically located, in the city centre, close to shops, restaurants and a Christmas Village/Market. The staff was very friendly, but what I must also give a top review is its breakfast buffet which was included with our room rate and which is one of the best I have found in all my travels around the globe. It is varied with high quality ingredients and very tasty. I highly recommend the Karl Johan.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und die Betten bequem. Im Bad gab es aber gar keine Ablagemöglichkeiten und es hatte etwas von einem Krankenhaus. Frühstück war gut. Das Personal freundlich. Art Déco ist leider nur der Aufzug. Wir glauben, dass es bessere Hotels gibt und würden es nicht nochmal buchen.

Room was spotless, staff were friendly and fantastic central location, directly opposite the Christmas winter land.
Bonus was the large gym in the basement and the really nice toiletries provided.
Only down side was the size of the room which was pretty small.
