Eberything anoit our stay was great. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and warm, with many confortable features. Or room was spotless and our breakfast was yum. Next time we need to stay in Newport, this hotel will definitely be our preference.

Disappointed that although we were wet and tired and room was ready hotel would not let us check in early without paying £20. Absolutely in accord with their published policy but not what a decent hotel would do. Room keys did not work. Party resulted in dining room being closed and noise but no compensation. A hotel that puts money way above customer interest.

The breakfast was limited. With sliced industrialised bread. Though they did provide a white sourdough bread when asked. It was of dubious quality. The fruit didn’t look too fresh and the ham was bright pink and cheap looking. I opted for natural yoghurt with cereal.
The coffee was excellent though with real coffee beans. The machine made a very adequate and tasty cup of coffee.
The staff were friendly.
The hotel was clean.
The windows don’t open in the hotel though! That is odd and made me feel claustrophobic.
