Great stay, staff brilliant and food and facilities really good

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We were attending a wine tasting experience at Llanerch Vineyard and the hotel, very kindly, shuttled us to and from the vineyard, which was fantastic! The room was nice. The bathroom in particular was very spacious. My husband and I had a lovely overnight stay, would highly recommend.

The resort itself is beautiful, with a comfortable bed &lovely pool area. There were some initial concerns around customer service. Eg: when asking for a taxi to be arranged for dinner, we were simply directed to a display of local taxi cards. A more proactive response, such as offering to arrange this on our behalf, would have been appreciated. The room was generally clean, though there were a few frustrations. The heating and air conditioning are centrally controlled, which proved inconvenient. Although we were told control would be released to the room following a call to reception, this reverted back to central control very quickly. There was no fridge in the room on arrival, despite a designated space for one. We requested a fridge, staff warned one might not be available, it was delivered promptly. It worked well, though it was not particularly clean. Before dinner, we visited the bar and ordered two cocktails, which were pre-mixed and very poor. We then opted for champagne, which was initially flat. However, the barman was extremely helpful and promptly opened a fresh bottle for us, Breakfast the following morning was excellent overall. The food was hot, fresh and plentiful, and the breakfast staff worked exceptionally hard. The only downside was that white bread ran out despite there being nearly an hour and a half of service remaining.While there were no amenity kits provided in the bathroom, the toiletries themselves were very good. Lovely size room with everything needed and even a complementary bottle of wine ! Perfect. Shame we couldn't get out onto the balcony due to heavy rain but we will definitely visit again.

Very well run hotel. Receptionist was excellent and vey helpful.

Pleasantly pleased with the hotel…just wished we stayed for another night

Booked the vale and ended up at the Hensel Castle which I thought was an upgrade as the room size and standard was incredible. However all the facilities including spa, bar and restaurant were back at the Vale so they put on a mini bus. It’s not the end of the world but would have preferred more facilities locally. Ate in the restaurant and I wasn’t blown away by the choice. Everything with chips pretty much. Steaks were expensive and no option fo a pie or curry for example.

Outstanding staff and customer service. Everything was amazing. Breakfast can be a little for the price it costs or just lower the price of it. Otherwise truly exceptional.

Room was a little cool & control took a time to kick in.

We stayed in one of the balcony rooms and the room was legit the best room we have stayed in the UK. The bed was a dream, super duper huge and the view from the balcony was magnificent. Their breakfast spread was delicious, the only downside of the stay were the cocktails from the Vale bar, I think they could do better with that. Apart from that, it was a 5/5.

Fantastic customer service as usual from all staff areas. Breakfast is a treat. Staff always happy to go that extra mile for guests. Arriving when the night porter has started is always a bonus as he helps with the small things I need. Like a doorstop to let me get my scooter out of the room. Visiting the Vale is an all round positive experience.
