I stayed at this hotel from May 30 to June 1. On the night of May 31, the air conditioner started leaking water. We called the front desk staff for help, and they advised us to turn off the air conditioner and sleep with the window open. We followed their instructions.
However, not long after we went to bed, the air conditioner began to make warning beeping sounds. The staff came again and turned off the beeping, telling us that everything should be fine, then left the room. Unfortunately, after that, the warning beeps continued every 2 to 3 hours throughout the night, and the issue was never properly resolved.
The next day, we asked for an explanation, but we did not receive a clear answer. This was a very disappointing experience. For anyone considering staying here, I recommend thinking twice before booking.
That said, one positive point about this hotel is its great location.

The taxi let us in on the street side far from the reception area. We had to lug our bags up two small stairs. There were stairs in our third floor hallway too. There were also steps down to the toilet room and the shower room which were a tripping hazard. Asked for extra pillows because they were very soft and we sank right through. Had to ask the next day. Also asked to turn out small light on room divider. The desk person gave me instructions and they didn't work. Never got to eat in the restaurant. They were on vacation and then the hours were unpredictable. Not open on Sunday. I found the "art" to be weird especially the mouse traps. On the plus side, the room was spacious with a couch and everything was clean and furnishings were new and woodwork was very attractive. The breakfast was excellent.

Designhotel der anderen Art! Mit Tradition um Haltung zum anders Sein. Über Generationen im Familienbesitz. Jedes Zimmer ist individuell eingerichtet. Das Hotel ist eine Kunstgalerie, zum Teil auch Spiegelbild der kreativen Gäste.
Ausgezeichnete, regionale Küche. Unmittelbar neben dem Festkonzerthaus und dem Hsus zu Mozart

Lovely, lovely hotel. Although the property has been a guesthouse for hundreds of years, all the modern conveniences are there. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant was great and the breakfast buffet was good.

Wonderful hotel right in the heart of Salzburg. Easy walking distance to several attractions nearby. Very modern and clean rooms and fantastic breakfast as well as cafe/bar. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating for our stay. In fact, we had lost a bag on a city bus the day we arrived. The front desk staff overheard our situation, and thanks to their help, we were able to track down the bag and save our vacation! 5 stars for the Arthotel Blaue Gans!
