Didn’t disappoint Excellent propert

I didn’t like that booking our stay through Expedia gave us the surprise of not including the free breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay, only downside was with the price we paid breakfast was not included. Everything else was top notch.

Close to downtown.

My best stay so far in the Waterloo area. Many other options in the same price range are clearly not as good.

Not many options on the breakfast menu. Good clean room. Beds were comfy and I liked the linens and pillows.

The room and bathroom were generally clean, but it was noticeable that the floors hadn’t been vacuumed before I checked in, and they still hadn’t been done the next day. The hotel used to maintain a much higher standard, so this was a bit disappointing compared to previous stays.

Older hotel but refurbished nicely. Everyone was pleasant. Most modern properties have some form of breakfast included. This one does not.

Check in time at 3pm, shuttle was picking everyone up for the wedding at 330. We tried to check in early and no rooms were available - understandable, so we were told to come back at 3 to check in before we go. We went back at 3:10 after getting ready for the wedding in the bathroom, still no rooms available any time soon… had to check in after the wedding at 130am. We were in the room only to sleep, and bothered that there were no rooms available even after check-in time. They weren’t able to help with any discount or anything so we spent $250 to check in at 130am

I found this hotel to be clean and staff were friendly and professional. The rooms amenities were good - especially the water pressure in the shower. Only draw back was it needs a really detailed cleaning - shower head had calcium build up, corners show dirt, and there were cobwebs at the top of the bathroom walls. It was clean, just needed a deep spring cleaning.

My experience with this Courtyard and Expedia was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not provided with the room type we booked. More concerningly, we found a used bar of soap in the bathroom, which raised serious questions about the room’s cleanliness and whether it had been properly serviced. When we requested compensation for these issues, the hotel staff claimed they were unable to assist because the booking was made through Expedia. It seems that when booking through a third party, the hotel abdicates responsibility for service failures, leaving the guest to mediate between the two.

Booked the suite with king bed and hot tub/fireplace as a surprise for my man to unwind. His favourite was the hot tub, the water was perfect, the jets, cleanliness top tier and the fireplace! Amazing ambiance to unwind with my partner after a long day. The staff was great and swift at checking in/out. 100% recommend! Affordable as well! Will be coming back again soon!

Unable to use tub due to extreme mold and rust. Any attention brought to this resulted in gaslighting, while other guests were refunded for the same issue? Marriot should be ashamed. Its worth mentioning that it was impossible to get someone to attend to the room for service, and the elevator is on its last legs. The doors often opened while misaligned with the floor, which was terrifying.

The rooms were comfortable. Thee was no breakfast included. There was a strong floral smell upon entering the hotel but once past the lobby it was gone.
