I honestly can’t recommend this hotel if you’re sensitive to noise or need proper rest. Avoid the rooms facing the back side of the hotel, especially on weekends. A club nearby stays extremely loud until around 3:30–4:00 AM. I had an important exam the next morning and barely slept at all. Even after the music stopped, drunk people outside were yelling for another hour. I spent the entire next day with a headache from the lack of sleep. Also, if you care about mattress or pillow quality, this probably isn’t the place for you. The mattress sinks in badly, and the pillows feel almost empty with no support. For basic things like slippers, water, plates, etc., I usually had to call two or three times before anything was actually brought to the room.

Parking was a block and a half away and ended up paying the initial 21.00 and then an additional 39.00, for one night stay! Hair and what looked like mold in the so called spa shower, the shower fixtures are in very bad condition, and the shower door did not seal, the vanity finish is coming off and looks terrible… this is supposed to be a 4.5 -5 star hotel……

I’ve stayed at the Metterra a few times now and overall I’ve had a good experience. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and I really appreciated the concierge service with parking my car and having it ready when needed. My original room had no AC and was very warm, but the hotel wasn’t busy so the front desk personally took me up and let me choose another room. I appreciated how smoothly and professionally they handled that situation. The location is a huge plus — easy walking distance to great restaurants, bars, the farmers market on weekends, and one of my favorite bike shops. One thing to note is that Whyte Avenue can be noisy for light sleepers, although that didn’t bother me personally. My only real negative is that in the summer I’d want reassurance of a consistently cool room. Overall, a good stay with excellent staff and a great location.

Location was amazing. No a/c so exceptionally hot in May!!! Parking for $20/day was 2 blocks away. Room seemed a bit dusty and a bit dated.

As usual, this is my favourite place to stay when I come to Edmonton for work or pleasure. Staff are amazing and super friendly. Rooms are cozy and beds very comfortable. Location is excellent and close to so many restaurants and shops. Do not waste your time staying anywhere else. This is a fantastic place. Cheers ! Pat
