Not bad staying

住了三晚要的牙刷ㄧ直沒來，房間內也沒有熱水壺要熱水泡咖啡都要去廚房拿，只是小東西但對旅者來說很重要。燈應該壞了幾盞，按了開關都沒亮。

Hotellin sijainti oli erinomainen. Kylpyhuone/wc oli siisti, mutta suihkusta ei tullut kuin viileää ja kylmää vettä. Asiasta sanottiin, mutta sitä ei korjattu. Wc-pönttö ei vetänyt joka kerta. Lakanat olivat puhtaat ja hyvän tuoksuiset. Yleisilme oli nuhjuinen ja kulunut. Hotelli ei sovi liikuntarajoitteisille. Yläkerrokseen noustakseen, missä meidänkin huoneemme oli, joutui kävelemään erittäin paljon portaita. Hissi vei vain osan matkaa ylöspäin.

Mooie grote kamer, heel rustig en geen geluid van buren of iets. Een grote badkamer, personeel was erg vriendelijk, ontbijt was heel simpel maar prima. Airco op de kamer was niet uit te zetten (was erg koud) en matras was echt slecht (net een hangmat met diepe kuil).. Bij de receptie gemeld, ze hebben iets met het bed gedaan (was geen plank, we denken een ander matras) en was daarna een stuk beter tot de laatste nacht.. bed was in originele staat terug gebracht, dus laatste nacht helaas weer in een kuil geslapen.

the room I was put in stank. the ceiling was covered in browning water marks that looked like there was a significant leak from above. I was woken to the sound of a heavy drip in the room, right next to my luggage. when I checked out the member of staff tried to charge me for breakfast even though my booking states it is included. when I argued my case he got visibly annoyed and walked off saying "you're done here". i couldn't believe the state of the room, but there was no chance to speak to the staff in the morning after the altercation over double breakfast charge.

Flott hotell med store rom. Gode senger. Kort avstand til buss og metro. Flere restauranter og små dagligvarebutikker i nærheten. Rolig område.

Arrived quite late so we were very tired. We were given basement rooms and

Air conditioning not working! V hot room! Noisey Fan only! Shower only produced very hot water! No one at desk when I arrived!

Check in was excellent and willingness to accommodate our late request for 2 beds could not have been better. This resulted in a more than comfortable upgrade.

The staff was nice and helpful

Nicely positioned hotel. The rooms were a little dated but clean.

I’m one of those who never complains, however, I could feel every spring through what’s left of the mattress. No hot water for a 9am shower? Tiles falling off/loose in the dated bathroom. 11am check out sounded great, but cleaners cleaning rooms from 7:45am so what’s the point? Good air con that was the only positive. Sadly this is old, not cheap and certainly never been 4 stars.

Truth is, this hotel probably deserves most of the hilariously bad reviews. The rooms all seems to be in various stages of collapse - some have only hot water, others have only cold. Some have broken or barely functioning air conditioning. Half the power sockets are broken/ a death risk. The place was renovated very shoddily about 25 years ago and it’s clear the owner can’t or won’t pay to get it fixed. However, I got a very good deal on one of the premium rooms, the bed was great, the location perfect for my visit and as a result would be very happy to stay again for that sort of price..

Bigroom. Bright and clean. Good continental breakfast with plenty of choice. Staff cheerful, pleasant and helpful.

No hot water and a funny smell.

Lovely Colonial type decor, friendly staff, great history of building. Pity cooked breakfast wasn’t available.

Pas de pression dans leau de la douche et pas d'eau chaude la seule solution pour en avoir c'est laisser couler le robinet du lavabo pour que l'eau chaude arrive a la douche. Il manquait une fenetre dans la chambre qu’ils avaient enlevé pour mettre un tuyau de condensation donc le froid rentrer facilement. Heureusement que le personnel est tres sympathique.

Stayed here for our honeymoon, was quite skeptical after seeing some bad reviews kn the lead up but our stay was comfortable and our room was spacious and clean. My husband tried the English breakfast which he said was okay (smaller than expected). The staff were welcoming. The only downside we found was it was noisy where we were staying on the bottom floor as we were close to the restaurant and you could constantly hear other guests.

Amazing location in Marleybone, 2 mins walk from Madame Tussauds or Regents Park & tube stations. Lots of great places to eat close by.
