Staff are very helpful and nice. Room was spacious and comfy.

The first room we were given smelt terrible, largely because of the stains on the carpet where someone had been sick. Second room was slightly better but still had a strange smell from the dirty carpet. Room was incredibly dull and depressing, very outdated with a cheap plastic shower pod, faded furniture, peeling laminate and limited facilities. The only good points about the stay were the central location and a good breakfast. Not cheap and not cheerful.

Hotel was a bit shabby, bathroom not the cleanest especially around mould in shower area. Breakfast was poor. Would not plan to stay there again at £136 per night.

Terrific affordable option in a great location close to Lace Market. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and the rooms are very comfortable for a budget option.

Very noisy residents at 3.30 am then a set of ladies returned at 4.30 and they was even louder, Couldn’t get back to sleep after that. Receptionn staff was very good.

Good price for a central location - directly next to the Lace Market tram stop and convenient for bars and restaurants of Hockey.

I recently stayed at Ibis Nottingham Centre and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. On arrival, the check-in queue was extremely long, and staff did not seem concerned about the delays. When we finally got to the room, our keycard hadn’t been validated properly, meaning we had to go back downstairs and queue all over again. Once we eventually entered the room, we were hit with a strong, unpleasant smell that was reminiscent of foist and vomit embedded in the carpet. It was overpowering and made the room very uncomfortable. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. There were visible stains on the walls and carpet, mould around the window, and even urine left in the toilet on arrival. In the end, we only stayed because the bed itself was clean and comfortable, and we had no other option. We also had issues with parking. We followed the hotel’s instructions to validate our ticket, but no discount was applied at the machine. When we called, we were told it was because we scanned rather than inserted the ticket—something that was never explained, resulting in unnecessary extra cost. I did email the hotel management directly after our stay and received no response, which suggests they are not particularly concerned about guest feedback. I have stayed in plenty of ibis hotels previously and whilst always basic, they have never been unclean. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The rooms were basic but clean and that’s what matters. The staff were really helpful and the check in process was easy. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Definitely will return.

Perfectly acceptable city centre hotel with very welcoming staff. The bed was great, but the rooms as a whole miss a certain je ne sais quoi.
