I love the simplistic rustic concept of the room. sparkling clean room and bathroom. great location, walking distance to usm, tesco, shops and food outlets. sufficient and lighted parking.

They provide adequate parking for visitor. The parking got guard at night. Service overall is ok. They never fail to cleanup our room. We have been staying here about 5-6 day. The hotel is very clean and nice art work in the wall. There are laundry and mcdonald's restaurant and 7-eleven nearby. The price is very reasonable and worth your money.

As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.

Kindly be informed that U Hotel is a NON-SMOKING hotel. For the comfort and health of our guest, U Hotel Penang observed a Non-Smoking policy for the entire building. RM 200 cleaning service will be charge to our guest bill if they choose to smoke inside the room. Effective from June 1, 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4 and 5-star hotels, and MYR 2 per room per night for 0 to 3-star hotels. The star rating will be in accordance to the rating from Local Council and should the rating differ from the website, the local council rating will apply. This fee is not included in Hotel's Room Rate. With effect from 01 September 2017, with reference to the Law of Malaysia Act 791, Tourism Act 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Resident of Malaysia, are committed to a Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 nett per room night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which is not included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check in. This is to be applied in-addition to existing fees/taxes levied and the existing local tourism fee in Penang.

Sebelah hotel ada Lotus (seperti Hypermart), lumayan pasti ada beberapa barang yang di diskon.
McD, PizzaHut, Mixue ada di dekat-nya.

I chose to stay at this hotel because it was close to my nephew's university, so there was no need to go far when my nephew visited.
And around the hotel there are many choices of restaurants/places to eat.
With the relative price, this is my choice when coming to Penang.

Hotelnya sesuai dengan harga. Lokasinya dekat dengan supermarket dan food court jadi sama sekali tidak kesulitan mencari makan dan oleh-oleh cokelat dan lain-lain.
