We were happy to check in early after leaving the ship. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was charming, bright and spacious for a historic hotel. The restaurant was busy but they took time to work with us on a dietary requirement. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast buffet. The location was convenient to the cruise terminal, ferries and the metro.

We loved this hotel. This was our second stay and we would definitely stay there again. This place seems to have a culture of hospitality. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant to the housekeepers were very friendly and always ready to help. They have a lovely breakfast which was included in our package which may involve an extra charge. One tip is that the subway is at the end of the street. We arrived at the central train station and the tourist info person never mentioned that option. We took a cab when we could have hopped on the subway for just a euro. The subway stop is Wllimeniaplain (sp?) Hats off to Hotel New York, one our favorite places to stay.

Hotels.com verified review

staff is soooo rude. i booked twin beds, but they just gave me a double bed, refused to help me out,said i didnt book twin room. i insisted, they even asked me show my booking.i showed them, they still said no ! untill i asked them show me whats the message that they got from hotel.com, they finally gavet me a twin room with a black face!

Stayed at the Hotel New York for one night prior to our cruise. The location was perfect as it was walking distance to cruise terminal. It is an historical building right on the pier in Rotterdam. The staff was excellent and the room well-appointed and very clean. There is a nice restaurant and bar in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel for a pre/post cruise stay or your visit to Rotterdam.

Super convenient for our pre-cruise stay since it’s across the street from the cruise terminal. It’s also a short walk to a train station if you want to venture out a bit, but there are local choices for dinner and coffee, etc. The breakfast in the hotel was good, but a little pricey.
