Our junior suite was large; however there was no drawer space and minimal hanging space. The bathroom was large but had little work space for toiletries. The suite could have been much better equipped for a small cost.

Great location! It’s within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and public transportation, making it a great base for exploring Amsterdam. We stayed during the European heat wave, so some of the issues were likely made worse by the extreme weather. We booked two rooms. The fourth-floor room was comfortable, but the first two nights were very noisy because of the FIFA celebrations in the square, and the older windows provided very little sound insulation. The top-floor room became extremely hot at night, and its bathroom had a noticeable sewer odor. The fourth-floor bathroom didn’t have the same odor, but the ventilation could be be improved. The staff were friendly and responsive. They listened to our concerns and kindly offered complimentary drink vouchers, which we appreciated. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The location and service were excellent, but some updates to the windows, ventilation, and top-floor rooms would make the experience even better.

Helpful and attentive staff. Loved the history behind the hotel and room size. Excellent on/off spot for the tram. Location allows for access to many sites and restaurants. Spotless rooms and property. A beer at the onsite restaurant is must. Will definitely visit again.

The staff were friendly, accommodating and very helpful. They provided us with a map of the area, were able to answer any questions we had and gave us great suggestions for dinner. The hotel is right in the center of things and yet not noisy. The free breakfast gives you many choices plus you can request pancakes and eggs etc. We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.

We made our reservation at NH Schiller back in November. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was unavailable due to maintenance issues. The hotel arranged accommodations for us at the hotel across the street, which was acceptable. However, we believe they should have notified us before our arrival to avoid the inconvenience.

I was there eight nights and recommend this is a wonderful hotel, well-located in heart of Amsterdam. It's located on a small city plaza surrounded by outdoor cafes and restaurants (and clubs). Noise is a factor for some late in the evening, but it did not bother me and I had a front-facing room. Staff provided professional and friendly service. If you are looking for a modern-style corporate chain, bland hotel, this is not for you. Its's older--the lift has a regular door and no inside safety door, there are wooden floors throughout reception, cafe and breakfast area. Tons of character and charm. The tram delivers you to the small plaza (complete with Rembrandt statue) in front of the hotel. It's only a couple of stops from the main train station. Most major sites are a 20–25-minute walk or take the tram. I would happily stay there again
