The staff were friendly, accommodating and very helpful. They provided us with a map of the area, were able to answer any questions we had and gave us great suggestions for dinner. The hotel is right in the center of things and yet not noisy. The free breakfast gives you many choices plus you can request pancakes and eggs etc. We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Amsterdam.

I was there eight nights and recommend this is a wonderful hotel, well-located in heart of Amsterdam. It's located on a small city plaza surrounded by outdoor cafes and restaurants (and clubs). Noise is a factor for some late in the evening, but it did not bother me and I had a front-facing room. Staff provided professional and friendly service. If you are looking for a modern-style corporate chain, bland hotel, this is not for you. Its's older--the lift has a regular door and no inside safety door, there are wooden floors throughout reception, cafe and breakfast area. Tons of character and charm. The tram delivers you to the small plaza (complete with Rembrandt statue) in front of the hotel. It's only a couple of stops from the main train station. Most major sites are a 20–25-minute walk or take the tram. I would happily stay there again

We made our reservation at NH Schiller back in November. Upon arrival, we were informed that our room was unavailable due to maintenance issues. The hotel arranged accommodations for us at the hotel across the street, which was acceptable. However, we believe they should have notified us before our arrival to avoid the inconvenience.
