I stayed at The Flag during the summer and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel is clean, my room was spacious, and the amenities were quite complete for a city hotel. There’s no AC, only a fan to help with the summer heat, but I actually appreciated this as a more environmentally friendly approach. What made the stay truly memorable, however, was the kindness and patience of the staff, especially Maria. She helped me bravely remove a spider that somehow ended up in my room (possibly hitchhiked from my clothes after walking outside!). She spoke to me kindly and patiently, even though my English wasn’t very good, and she didn’t lose her calm even after I accidentally spilled Coca-Cola on the floor. … a lot happened during my stay, but Maria handled it all with grace and kindness. Thank you, Maria! Another staff member, a cool guy, also kindly helped refill my water bottle. I forgot to ask his name, but I hope you meet him when you visit. When you do, say hi to him :)

The room is extremely clean and decorated with idea of simplicity which is very cool and Scandinavian. Moreover,the location is great and near to the train Altstetten Station and tram station Altsttten Nord (both10 mins walk). More importantly ,staff was very friendly as we arrived far more earlier than the standard chrck-in time. We expected we could only store our luggage and waited for the check-in time came. Surprisingly,the staff allowed us to check-in earlier which Was a gift for us after a 11 hours flight! Price to service ratio was high.Highly recommended .

Hotel was clean and cozy but the amenities were limited, we have to go easy with the shampoo before it runs out. Need to take a second thought if you were travelling without a car, you will have to take 20 minutes bus to Zurich HB, and the closest supermarket is like 15 minutes walk away.

Try to arrive when the reception is open. Thought there is a machine at the front door for u to self check in, but it does not work all the time (at least for my booking!) At last I had to call the help desk, which did not speak English very well, and took more than half an hour to check me in.

Camera pulita con letto comodo. Cuscini di piume: erano un po' sottili e c'è ne hanno dati altri due senza problemi. Il personale è molto gentile e sorridente. Mi hanno anche aiutato disponendo un regalo nella stanza per farlo trovare alla mia compagna all'arrivo. Cucinino funzionale alla preparazione di cose pronte o di caffè/the. C'è comunque il necessario per due persone. Accesso garage ottimo. Posizione strategica vicino a una fermata del tram, supermercati e a due zone con locali di Altstetten. Solo 20 minuti per essere in centro. Non abbiamo incluso la colazione. Unico suggerimento: spiegare bene ai clienti come funzionano le pulizie della camera, che vanno benissimo, ma hanno una schedule da comprendere per sfruttarle al meglio.

We were there for 2 night and it was very nice! First thing we noticed that the room amelled so good and very clean. The staff were so friendly always had a smile on their faces. Would definitely recommend !

Great place and easy to get around. The problem was that you hear everything from the neighbooring rooms and from the corridor. I woke up by the room cleaners vacuuming the corridoors every day.
