This adorable, clean cottage had a very homey feel as soon as you stepped inside. Loved all the personal touches. The covered deck was the perfect spot to sit out and enjoy the view.

The only flaw in this stay was the breakfast, which is sad and not very inspiring. Add to this the fact that people seem to be determined to stand in the way of anyone else trying to access the breakfast and it’s an overall disappointment. I frequently stay in hotels that include breakfast, and on a scale of 1 to 10, this breakfast is a 4 at best.

This property is so expensive for what it is. So outdated. We checked in at night and left at 5:30am for a flight. Way too expensive for not even 12 hours there. The staff gave different answers to everything we asked about airport shuttle/parking, even cutting each other off while talking to us at the front desk. Super confusing. Breakfast is not available before 5:30, so makes it hard for earlier flights. The parking is across the street and takes about 10mins to walk to. It's out of the way for sure. Wouldn't stay again. Front desk said I could probably get plastic utensils from the restaurant for our kid, then restaurant staff said they didn't know why they sent me their way.

Hotel smelled funny, parking lot is full of dumpsters. It gets two stars because the room was clean, beds were new and comfortable. Property is very dated, restaurant food was awful and service was mediocre. Did not even attempt breakfast. My advice is to spend the extra money and opt for the IHG or Hilton.

Older hotel showing its age, although attempts have been made to modernize a bit. (newer touch lighting & a separate plug-in unit with 2 USB ports). Equipped with a microwave, fridge & newer flatscreen TV, although channel selection was poor. Older, noisy A/C-heat unit. Bed was comfortable, with lots of pillows & towels. While you cannot beat the location next the the Halifax International Airport, the one disappointment was the poor selection of items for the "included" hot & cold breakfast. Shuttle to airport worked well.

The restaurant had good tapas and service. The service at check-in and check-out was good, and the included airport transfer was very convenient.

Don't set your expectations high, it's a hotel for convenience rather than holiday. Book in advance to get a better price, and you'll be happy. It's very close to the airport, the shuttle runs 24hrs, the attached restaurant had good food and is open late. For an overnight airport stay, it's ideal. The breakfast isn't great, but is included and is still gives a solid start to the date.

Bathroom toilet and tub, both were and very poor condition. The toilet leaked, the tub faucet was falling apart, the shampoo and conditioner holder stand was broken, reported the leaks, nothing was fixed. Breakfast poor, no options.

The shuttle needed to be reserved, which was not helpful when our flight was delayed. Other nearby hotels run their shuttles every 1/2 hour, 24 hours per day. Key cards would not work on some doors, requiring us to walk outside in the rain around the building from the side parking lots trying to find a door that actually worked. The bathrooms are divided into two sides of the room. Good in theory with multiple guests per room, but you have to carry stuff from one side to the other. So I was in the shower and wet before you realize soap is in the other room. There is no trash can in the room with the toilet. So if you had personal hygiene products to deal with, you have to carry things over to the room with the sink. There was maintenance going on in the room with the sink, but the sanding debris had not been cleaned up and was all over the vanity. Rooms and hallways were dark. I did appreciate the restaurant was open until 1 a.m. for late night flights or people from a variety of time zones wanting to eat at different times. I would not choose to stay here again.
