The hotel is a replica of an ancient Suzhou villa and garden. It is a huge resort and offers many fun facilities. We visited the Han dynasty clothing experience center which lends one guest one free hour of Han dynasty ancient clothing to try out. That was a lot of fun and we shot many pics in the ancient garden. The manager was so nice and generous and offered 2 guests in our party of the same service. I heartily recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in Suzhou built in Chinese style with lovely gardens, rooms on 4 levels spread across the building. Fairly central for visiting Suzhou with easy access to the metro and walking distance to Shiquan street lined with restaurants and shops. Recommend an evening walk in the Pan Gate scenic area which is open to guests until 9pm. Fantastic breakfast with a broad selection of food to cater to all tastes. The only observation would be to try and reduce the noise produced by the robots that deliver takeaway food to the rooms as they rattle along the hard floor, but overall a great experience and would recommend.

Family room is huge and hotel is beautiful but walking distance to the room is a problem for my mum with knee problem even with advance notice as all of their family room is away from the elevator. As this hotel catered to lots of tour groups, finding seats for breakfast in the hotel is on a first come first served basis on your own. Quality of food is only mediocre as there are no eateries around the hotel we had no choice. We will look for a smaller boutique hotel instead for our further visit. Roger and his team at the concierge desk were wonderful in assisting all of our needs - thank you and keep up the good work!!

The hotel building was good but the staffs were unhelpful at all. Every time when we asked for help, the first response was “no or can’t do, because balabala….” They offered us whole fruits but couldn’t provide a knife for peeling or cutting. The worst part is in such a big hotel with internal restaurants, the staffs even couldn’t find someone to cut the fruits for us. That was bazaar. Secondly, they had the self-service laundry but even took up to 3 hours the washing dryer couldn’t dry up our clothes. When we asked for hangers, we were refused to provide the sufficient amount. Thirdly, the hotel was so big, and it was so easy to get lost to someone who was new to stay. Not just us, when other customers asked for directions, no staff was willing to take the customer to the destination. They just pointed the direction with more than 3 turns. The other customer ended up asking them to draw a handwritten map. There were 5-6 staffs in the lobby with no other customers to service but no one could take that customer in person. Overall, the hotel service was extremely poor. Not recommended.
