Good location. Room was very basic, (for 2 people) a 3/4 bed pushed against the wall, with a duvet that only just covered the bed, 1 pillow each, bed was uncomfortable and very creaky. Bathroom was ok, took a bit of manoeuvring to get in the shower. Wont stay again

This easy hotel was okay for the price we paid for one night. However, after checking in and going out to the shops and for some food we got back to our room to find ants all over the shelving in between the beds. While the staff were helpful and gave us a fresh room on a different floor, which was slightly better size wise, I wasn’t impressed. It was my friends who got to the room first and found it how it was so I wasn’t there to deal with the situation myself. However, when I did arrive back at the hotel after being told the situation, the staff at reception weren’t entirely apologetic to myself and I was the one who booked the room and checked us all in. They were helpful in that we had a key to get through the corridors to our new room but we weren’t offered anything such as a free late check out for the inconvenience of having to move. We were offered help with moving our belongings but I feel they could have been a bit more apologetic about the situation. On checking out of the hotel I also wasn’t entirely impressed as we handed our keys to the lady at the desk but she was on the phone to another customer so we weren’t properly addressed as I would have been at any other hotel. For instance, as she was on the phone we weren’t asked how our stay was or if there were any problems during our stay etc. So all in all, it was a safe hotel close to the train station and the shops, but after our unique experience I probably wouldn’t book again.

There were some parts of the room that weren't in the best condition - mainly the window area (curtain was closed anyway) and what looked like wax or something sticky on the table. Not the biggest issue as all the areas that mattered like the bed, toilet and shower were spotless. The shower was amazing and the shampoo / bodywash felt surprisingly good. Easy check-in and a much larger room than I thought it would be. Especially the bathroom. For it being as cheap as it was, in such a convenient location, I'd definitley stay again.

The room felt so neglected and just like it hasn’t had a good clean for a long long time, it honestly looked like it had been wiped with a dry cloth and done. The flooring had parts missing and the window sill was chipped marked bad dust, spillages and just general dirt. We paid extra for a window and a superior room however it was tiny room and the view was of a back garden with an abandoned full bin and mud everywhere. Absolutely vile to even look at. We requested a room change - the rest were just as bad to the point we just had to settle for one as we weren’t having and luck and wouldn’t get a refund. This room then had a huge bay window full of cobwebs, mould and of course just general dirt. The mirror above the bed had paint on it? under there was the bed and their was cobwebs and a spider. Definitely not worth the price i paid for, £90 for this one night. Very disappointing. The room also claimed to be soundproofed as we paid extra for that, however we heard every conversation next door and drunk men. We heard everyone walking past talking and the pubs and bars music from outside allll through the night and had 0 sleep, we then had to be checked out early on no sleep.
