I genuinely don’t even know where to begin—this was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience of my life. What was supposed to be a magical trip for my daughter’s birthday turned into a complete disaster, entirely because of this hotel. Dream Castle Hotel advertises itself as a 4-star property, but that is beyond misleading—it doesn’t even meet the most basic standards of a roadside motel. From the moment we arrived, everything went wrong. After an exhausting eight-hour flight with two young children, we arrived hoping for at least a bit of understanding or basic human decency. Instead, we were met by the worst front desk representative I have ever encountered. She was incredibly rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. She refused to let us check in even a minute before 3 PM—no flexibility, no empathy, nothing. My children were so exhausted they were literally sleeping on the lobby couch, and she showed absolutely no concern. The hotel itself is extremely outdated, poorly maintained, and honestly just dirty. Everything feels old, worn down, and neglected. The amenities are in terrible condition, and cleanliness clearly isn’t a priority here. At one point, I grabbed a sandwich from the bar and it was completely frozen inside with the frozen chicken you couldn’t bite on. The fridge in our room was not working upon arrival and when I called to fix it, it was not fixed at all ,nobody even came. Avoid this place at all costs.

The room was spacious and clean, plenty of towels, beds were comfy. The air-conditioning didn't seem to do anything in our room but perhaps this was because of the time of year (April), it was fine for us though and we could open the window if necessary. Breakfast was very basic, we went at 9:30am and didn't manage to get any pastries, I'd recommend getting Starbucks or Pret from the station outside Disney instead, or walking to supermarket 15 mins walk up the road, there is a fridge in your room luckily. Our rooms were cleaned every day, tea station replenished etc but we did have a bag of unopened food thrown away by staff, we told reception and although they were nice about it we don't feel like they cared. Great location for Disney, the free shuttle is great for going in the morning, if you stay for fireworks though then the shuttle is horrendous, too many people trying to get on for five hotels so maybe book a taxi. Magic shuttle from airport was good too. Pool and hot tub were both cold unfortunately, again maybe the wrong time of year and as expected lots of children in both. I would stay again for the location and cleanliness.

The hotel itself is lovely, clean, and has great amenities to help keep children entertained when you’re not at Disneyland. The reception staff and cleaning team were polite and very helpful throughout our stay. There is a free shuttle service to and from Disneyland, including after the fireworks, which is really convenient. However, as you can imagine, these get very busy, so expect them to be quite crowded. Negatives: Breakfast – While it initially looks like there’s a good selection, the quality lets it down. Options are quite limited unless you want things like kidney beans in tomato sauce, overcooked bacon, or pale herb sausages. Many items needed replenishing or were left messy. There are also two dining areas—one that feels more premium, while the other is more basic, with plastic plates and noticeably less care. Indoor pool – The pool itself is nice, but the water is very cold. It’s not ideal for babies or younger children. My kids didn’t mind, but I found it too cold to stay in for long. Evening food – We ate here twice. It’s decent, and after eating in Disney parks, it was nice to have healthier options like salad. However, the food was slow to be replenished and the variety wasn’t great. Pricing was €38 per adult and €20 per child, excluding drinks. Additional costs – On arrival, you’ll need to pay the standard tourist tax, plus a €150 refundable deposit.

Probably one of the worst stays I’ve had in the area. We got placed on the same floor as a entire schoolclass, aged around 12-14. Which obviously made noise all trough the night. I went down to reception to tell the staff. Respond I got was ”we’re family friendly”, well this wasn’t a family screaming toddlers. This was 60+ kids in their pre teen. Room was extremly warm. No AC. They brought up a fan. Breakfast, horrible. I get it, it’s a budget hotel close to Disney. But seriously. 200 euros deposit PER NIGHT. Hidden charges. I would just upgrade to the budget properties at Disney. Or chose something else. This was not at all worth even 90 euros a night.
