Mixed feelings about our stay here. The hotel itself and the location are very well positioned. Onto the positives: The location is great — right behind some luxury shops and only a short walk into the southern part of the main area. The staff were genuinely pleasant, always happy to chat or help where they could. The room is where I ended up feeling mixed. They’re decorated nicely, the bed was comfy, and the bath jets were great. But the layout was a bit strange — not awful, just odd. You walk in and the first thing you see is the sink right next to the wardrobe. I had a real issue with noise. For any light sleepers or anyone who wants a quiet night, I’m not sure this is the place. The room had this low bass-type noise running through it — no idea what it was, but it was enough to make the bathroom door vibrate. The aircon/fan was loud as well and didn’t seem to change speed or temperature no matter how much you adjusted it, which made it feel pretty useless. I also think you have to get lucky with the other guests. You can hear people in the corridors very clearly, and at times it sounded like people were stomping around upstairs. But the worst bit by far: the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. On the second day, my partner ended up standing on a sharp piece of plastic that was shaped like a shard of glass. It almost pierced her skin — she was just lucky with the way she stood on it. I showed it to the front desk and got a small apology, but that was it.

Everything with my stay was excellent. The location is perfect for taking in Amsterdam's collection of art museums at the Museumplein and there were nice restaurants nearby. I felt safe walking in the neighborhood. There is an express bus that goes from the airport to Museumplein and it was a very short walk to the hotel. The room was clean, modern and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if I wanted to be close to the museums such as the Van Gogh museum and the Rjiksmuseum. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable.

The location is great, just 5 minute walk to Van Gogh Museum and 3 minutes from the tram station leading to the city centre by a 10 min tram ride. The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable. The windows ensured great isolation. If you like a reasonable priced hotel without risking quality, you can safely choose this hotel. Plus, there was a pod coffee machine with good quality coffee in the room for free.

The area where this hotel is located is easy to get to from the airport on the 397 bus and is ideal for visiting museums. The team lines are only 100m walk away. There are many food places within a 15 minute walk. Comfortable room, 24 hours front desk, next door to schools (noisy during lunch breaks but quiet at all other times. Would stay again if there was a good deal.

From the moment we arrived, Hotel JL No76 delivered a seamless and memorable stay. Situated on a quiet, elegant street in the Museum Quarter—just steps from the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum—the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Every major museum, upscale shopping street and tram stop were within easy walking distance. The room was large and well-equipped with a comfortable bed, and the shower was a great size especially for Europe! One standout was the service: the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to assist. If you’re visiting Amsterdam and want a hotel that combines luxury, comfort and unbeatable location—this is it. I fully intend to return and would highly recommend Hotel JL No76 to anyone looking for a first-rate stay.
