Room was ok, no views from the window. Constant thumping sound of construction throughout.

Great Place. Rooms are small but the buffet breakfast and location is great

When I leave reviews, the majority of the time they are positive. But this is not going to be that. I stayed for 4 nights at Hotel Emperador. The property has significantly more drawbacks than attributes. The Emperador hotel has 2 attributes: 1. The rooftop patio. A beautiful space, lots of seating availability, views on multiple sides of the building. 2. Staff. The hotel's staff were friendly, hard-working, and tried their best, in the face of being clearly understaffed. But there are many more drawbacks. The top 3: 1. Noise from outside. The property is in a very busy block of downtown Madrid, where all hours of the night there are sirens blaring, people screaming, horns honking (who honks at 2am?). We heard it all. Every night. Even earplugs couldn't block out the sounds. Good luck with sleeping. 2. Noise from inside. The walls are paper thin. PAPER thin. Every night, LONG conversations would be taking place in the hallway outside our door, that we could hear every word of. Conversations in the next room as well. It was as if these people were actually in our room. 3. Upkeep and amenities in the room. First off, this was a very very basic room. And not kept well. Worn fabric on the chairs, scuff marks on the desk and side tables and the door, carpet in the hallway "bunched up" in various places. Overall, it is really really not anywhere near a 4 star level, which is what this hotel presents itself as. You can do better, much better, in Madrid.

The breakfast was great and very diverse, the rooms was very clean and the staff was very helpful.

Clean room, good location

Everything was nice but the bar service was very slow. Also, twin beds pushed together for a king is a bit dated.

Location is excellent. Breakfast is great! Staff are friendly. The amenities and room need improvement. The hotel washroom is not designed well. Water from the shower splashes everywhere. The way the washroom is designed makes it easy to fall when stepping out of the shower. There is odor coming out of the AC vent.

The location is great, walkable to all major attractions, safe. The room is quiet and spacious. We had a great stay there and will stay there next time in Madrid.

Location is perfect. Close to everything to see

Staff was very friendly, breakfast was wonderful, beds are comfy. And location is perfect! Would so stay again!

The hotel was nice, staff pleasant, and overall clean. I was expecting a more modernized hotel room due to the pictures shown, but we must have been placed on a floor not yet updated. The hotel is rated a four star and I would say so if it were the 1990’s. Not bad, but definitely not a four star for 2025.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

This property is in the center of it all. Amazing location and surprisingly quiet room. It has this classic look which is nice and beautiful but the rooms are so old and the bathrooms are 70s old. While I do like the classic look of the hotel and rooms are very outdated.

I didn’t have the breakfast, but the staff were terrific. The views are fantastic from the balconies, but it is located in a busy area which made last minute restaurant reservations a bit of a challenge (book ahead).
