Amenities were bare minimum with no tissue paper and small towels in the bathroom which is very tight, old and poorly ventilated without opening up the bathroom window. The side elevator does not allow you to access the rooftop pool but no sign in the elevator to indicate the access limit. I found that out only after I went down to ask the receptionist who looked at me as though I should have known that.

We had to take a cab to and from the hotel but the cabs are regulated so it was 33 euros each way. Our breakfast was included and maid service was excellent. Everyone was polite and helpful. We were able to walk to the Royal Palace which was very close and the local restaurants were wonderful. Plenty of shopping close by too!

The room cleaning was good; however—despite our repeated reports—the sink remained clogged and the mattresses were extremely hard. When it came time to check out, we had to stand in line because there was absolutely no organization at the front desk regarding this process, with guests checking in and checking out all at the same time. Everything was also extremely expensive. My experience was not good at all.

This hotel is very clean, well kept and quiet. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. We paid for breakfast, but then had to leave early to catch a flight. The front desk made a note, and had boxed breakfast ready for us that morning at 6:30 a.m. The doorman waited with us and our luggage for the uber, then helped us get it all outside and loaded into the car.

Location is ideal for being in central Madrid. However the hotel is dated in terms of features and bedrooms We complained about the shower as the water was extremely hot and would then fluctuate with the pressure. Maintenance said there was nothing wrong. The WiFi didn’t work at times and there was no indication of when it would be restored. Lastly, there is not much sitting in the lobby and if you chose to sit around the hotel bar, just to rest or wait for other guests to join you, you must purchase something to be seated.
