Modern, clean and great facilities

Had a comfortable and luxurious stay here for our first three nights in Sri Lanka. Travelled in June which is off season / monsoonal however we barely saw any rain - sunbaked by the pool most days and was very relaxing to travel in the quiet season - at times had the whole pool and grounds to ourself. Buffet breakfast was incredible and had soooo many options. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the gym was perfect too

Very nice hotel- big comfy beds in a spotlessly clean room. The hotel is well laid out inside and around the gardens and pool areas. There is plenty of space between umbrellas and the pool staff were very attentive. The restaurant was well stocked with multiple choices for even the fussy eaters. I would like to

We had a beautiful view from our room. However, the latter didn’t look like the photos I’ve seen on Expedia. The room was quite tired and is in need of a refurbishment. It didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel, but more a 4 star. The bathroom also needs a good clean (mould in the shower, dirty sink, smell drains etc). The bed was comfortable and we had a good night of sleep. We booked a full board package. We were surprised to see that there was no buffet and a limited set menu (with very cheap options). Nonetheless, we were offered alternative options. The food that we ordered were generally nice and the breakfast buffet selection was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. It had a good continental selection. Overall, the experience was OK but I would not return unless the property was refurbished and installed decent air conditioning in common areas (eg lobby, bar, restaurant etc).

Hotel located on a beautiful beach. But area outside hotel is not very conducive to exploring.

Short stay wish we could’ve stayed longer and enjoyed the facilities. Beautiful hotel in what seems like the perfect spot with the beach on one side and the city on the other. They took our last minute request for a spa treatment and it was great.

Excellent hotel right on the beach. Spent a couple of nights here to recover from a long flight before touring Sri Lanka. Was perfect. Staff were really good.

This was a good hotel to stay before our flight. Just 25 mins from the airport. Nice room facing the sea. Nice pool. The buffet for dinner was good.

We got here late and left early so couldn’t take advantage of our booking at this beautiful place. Gorgeous staff but they were a little uncaring about our driver - some hotels provide accommodation for the driver- love to see that happen here.

We booked through Expedia as a Platinum client, which means I should receive an upgrade if available. However, when we arrived, the staff falsely claimed I had been upgraded, but the room was exactly the same as what I had originally booked. This was misleading and disappointing. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, but lunchtime was a different story. I ordered a mild curry, but the chef made it extremely spicy. When he came out to apologize, he admitted that he assumed I could handle the heat because I “look Indian”—despite me specifically requesting mild. This was not only unprofessional but also completely unacceptable. On top of that, my food took so long to arrive that I eventually decided not to eat or order anything else. It’s clear why many guests loudly voiced their frustrations with the restaurant. Housekeeping did a moderate job—nothing exceptional, but at least the basics were covered. Overall, this hotel has potential, but major improvements are needed, especially in honesty from the staff, restaurant service, and overall guest experience. Until then, I wouldn’t recommend dining in or expecting premium service.

I only stayed 1 night before a flight but no complaints. Pool and beachfront area amazing and staff were very friendly and helpful. Top floor room with views of ocean were great. I may have received the upgrade but wasn’t verbally mentioned so don’t want to be unfair. Recommend as a pre flight hotel to any traveller.
