Had a comfortable and luxurious stay here for our first three nights in Sri Lanka. Travelled in June which is off season / monsoonal however we barely saw any rain - sunbaked by the pool most days and was very relaxing to travel in the quiet season - at times had the whole pool and grounds to ourself.
Buffet breakfast was incredible and had soooo many options. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the gym was perfect too

Very nice hotel- big comfy beds in a spotlessly clean room. The hotel is well laid out inside and around the gardens and pool areas. There is plenty of space between umbrellas and the pool staff were very attentive. The restaurant was well stocked with multiple choices for even the fussy eaters. I would like to

Wir haben zwei Nächte für unsere Flitterwochen gebucht. Uns wurde gesagt wir würden ein Upgrade und ein dekoriertes Premium Zimmer für unsere Flitterwochen erhalten. Da Zimmer war genau das gebuchte und wurde leider nicht dekoriert. An sich nicht schlimm, aber nachdem wir ausgecheckt haben, habe ich dem Mitarbeiter gesagt, dass wir noch für ein Abendessen zahlen müssen. Dieser sagte mir, nach einem Telefonat, dass das Essen nicht bezahlt werden muss und wir eingeladen sind. Kurze Zeit später, wurde ich telefonisch von einem Mitarbeiter des Hotels ununterbrochen angerufen. Selbst nachdem ich ihm sagte, dass ich ihn telefonisch nicht verstehe und er mir bitte schreiben soll, lies er die Anrufe nicht sein.

We had a beautiful view from our room. However, the latter didn’t look like the photos I’ve seen on Expedia. The room was quite tired and is in need of a refurbishment. It didn’t feel like a 5 star hotel, but more a 4 star. The bathroom also needs a good clean (mould in the shower, dirty sink, smell drains etc).
The bed was comfortable and we had a good night of sleep.
We booked a full board package. We were surprised to see that there was no buffet and a limited set menu (with very cheap options). Nonetheless, we were offered alternative options. The food that we ordered were generally nice and the breakfast buffet selection was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. It had a good continental selection.
Overall, the experience was OK but I would not return unless the property was refurbished and installed decent air conditioning in common areas (eg lobby, bar, restaurant etc).

Short stay wish we could’ve stayed longer and enjoyed the facilities. Beautiful hotel in what seems like the perfect spot with the beach on one side and the city on the other. They took our last minute request for a spa treatment and it was great.

We got here late and left early so couldn’t take advantage of our booking at this beautiful place. Gorgeous staff but they were a little uncaring about our driver - some hotels provide accommodation for the driver- love to see that happen here.
