Hotel Luzernerhof

The location was good but the outstanding thing was the size of the 3-person room we booked. “Palatial” is not an understatement! And whilst some repairs are needed, the penthouse feel and size of the master bedroom cannot be beaten.

Clean room and comfy bed. Rooms are large & quiet. Breakfast for a fee but was really good with plenty of great options. Would stay again if in Lucerne.

Room was good; however lacked both heating or air con. We stayed 2 nights and dor the first 24 hours there was no hot water. We did bring to the attention of reception who advised that was the normal temp. But on the 2nd day we were able to have hot shower instead of cool. Location of hotel was very central to train stations, restaurants and shopping

Old hotel, but it is clean and staff are helpful

The bathroom sink drained very slowly, and the shower door leaked because it wasn’t sealed properly. Everything else was fine and the location of the hotel is great.

Hotel Luzernerhof is located in the heart of Luzern within 5 min. to the lake, 10 min. to train station, and other attractions. PROs: Location, location, location. Excellent location within walking distance of all attractions. The price is reasonable considering hotels in Switzerland - probably because of off-season. Room is spark clean and well equipped with every necessities. Buffet breakfast and restaurant are available even though I didn't use the latter. Bathroom is equipped with Soeder's soap which to my much liking - Made in Zurich of herbal attracts. CONs: Room needs more central lightings. There're only small desk lamp and floor lamps that barely light up the room. Floor alley is dark unless activated by a push of a button - something that guests may not know and they'd fall and trip on something. One particular staff member who is very mean and rough to customers at the morning break. I'm surprised by her attitude. Coffee is not from the machine, so we needed to ASK for it. I didn't ask for a refill due to the unpleasantness of this particular hotel assistant. There's also a female front desk staff who was very COLD and less smiling.

I would call this a “no frills”, convenient, clean hotel. The rooms were spacious enough. Loved that the windows open. I enjoy the city noise, but other traveling companions found it a bit loud. Did not take advantage of the breakfast offered or the coffee in the morning. Plenty of places in the area to go for European breakfast. Extremely convenient to Lake Lucerne, Chapel Bridge & train station. Would stay again.

Over priced, only coz of good location , very small room. breakfast not good , quality of ingredients sub standard and the person in the charge of breakfast was also very indifferent and rude

Nice hotel Odd smell in the room. Bed was comfortable. Some staff were friendly some no to much. For the price breakfast should be included. Every hotel we stayed in Europe had breakfast included except this one. Great location

The location is great, and the breakfast was really good. However, there were continual service issues. Our room was not ready at the 3 pm check-in time. We were put in a different, dark room. Two of the five lights didn’t work. We asked, but no no one came to fix them. They said they would have to call an electrician. The light was not fixed during our three night stay. The first day, our room was never cleaned. We asked twice, no one came. That evening finally a cleaner knocked on our door and offered fresh towels. Presumably, the service staff was very short staffed. We did receive apologies.

Very close to train station and old town. Walkable and shops around the corner. The bed was so comfortable !

Tiny room but convenient location just 2 bus stops from train station and 1 short block to hotel . Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs but no pastries but one homemade cake squares . On edge of old town with predestine street very close.

Clean room. Good location from train station.

Great location in the centre. A busy hotel and although clean - - not spotlessly clean. Comfortable, quiet rooms.
