DoubleTree by Hilton Perth Waterfront

Nice clean hotel, room on 17th floor, excellent service mostly. Only issue was on last night final meal - ordered two sparkling rosés, they brought sparkling white wine. When challenged, waitress said they’d run out of rosé so brought white instead. No query as to whether we wanted that or an alternative, so found that rather poor. Meal itself was disappointing too. The other thing we found poor was that all the breakfast plates were stone cold. When having a hot breakfast, it cools too quickly and spoils it. (I hope they don’t respond to this and blame health and safety…! ) Other than those gripes we enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely room with panoramic view. Reception staff very friendly and professional. Only a limited number of beds by the pool but alternative seating area on the decked area. Great views from the pool and decked area however,.

Clean rooms, feels new, great location.

We arrived in the evening to friendly, efficient staff. Our room was comfortable, spacious and well appointed. We had a comfortable quiet sleep then ventured out. The Doubleday Waterfront by Hilton is located perfectly.

Amazing location for tourists with ferries, tour pickups and free CAT bus at the door. Beautiful waterfront position with pubs and cafes, as well as hotel offerings. Friendly front desk staff. Rooftop Bar a highlight.

Ended up being a little disappointed in my first stay at the hotel/a Hilton. I think it probably wasn’t the best time to visit as I think some of the staff were a little burnt out. On arrival the gentleman at check in was kind of rude. Also had a similar experience with a woman at the concierge asking about the parking. That really needs to be fixed. We ended up having to speak to 3 different council check points on a 36 degree day before we could sort it out. Also our first night the pool area was in a bit of a state. No clear indication which towels were clean/dirty. The bartender was MIA and then they shut 1 hour early. Note this was not new years. Also the pool area can get super windy and cold even on a hot day. In saying that though the gentleman normally running the breakfast was very good (unfortunately he wasn’t working my first breakfast and I was left to fend for myself), and the room was always looked after very well, and it is quite close to everything.

Great location in Elizabeth Quay. Hotel was spotless and the pool area was lovely.
