Hadley's Orient Hotel

We stayed at Hadleys for a full week while in Hobart for Dark Mofo. Awesome central, walkable location in a history packed, character filled building. Staff were always warm and very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here.

Very old worldly hotel. Lovely big room with 2 king beds. The first floor is all up hill and down dale - a bit tricky with luggage. Lovely breakfast and great coffee. The staff are excellent. They need an operational restaurant on site.

This is one of those places where you feel like you’ve won the hotel stay lottery. The Breakfast at $15 is a bargain. And the rooms are fantastic.Old world feeling without being old and dated. Sure you might hear some creaks and groans from the floorboards and the hotel surrounding. But you really feel like you’re in an Agatha Christy novel. The Lobby with its stylish chairs and 30’s era background music suits it perfectly. All the staff were more than friendly to help. Highly Recommend.

Centrally located great walking distance to anything great service just bummer the lift was out

I had always wanted to stay at Hadleys since I'd treated myself to their wonderful High Tea a few years earlier in the gorgeous atrium. I recently stayed in the Victorian Suite and it was a superb experience. I felt transported to another time by the lobby music. The suite was beautifully appointed, so comfortable and warm on a chilly day. The Orient Bar was a lovely place for pre-dinner drinks with a perfectly made Tommy Margarita during happy hour. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of hot dishes with eggs to order. The new artworks displayed on the ground floor were a pleasure to view. The staff at Hadleys were all highly welcoming and professional and very helpful in explaining parking off site. I can't wait to come back. Great value for a top class hotel.

Great location with fantastic staff. Rooms are good with comfortable beds. They are especially accommodating with the elevator being out.

What an exceptional hotel! All staff were friendly and courteous. The artwork and ambiance of this hotel are awesome. Would definitely recommend Hadley's Orient Hotel to anyone that appreciates history and art, all whilst being an easy walking distance to many Hobart locations of interest.

Clean and comfortable accommodation right in the CBD with easy walking distance to the wharf and restaurants. Staff were helpful. Hotel is lovely style and the refurbished bathrooms are very nice.

Check in and parking was a breeze, breakfast well set up and room was freshly renovated and well equipped. Great location to restaurants, shopping and short walk to Salamanca markets

The lift is being renovated so i had to drag my heavy luggage upstairs, the girl at the front desk don’t seem to care. I was annoyed I wasn’t told ahead of checking in. Also this place must have changed ownership as there’s no linger free breakfast or room service meals. Parking was $80 for 4 days as I hadn’t booked it online where it would have been $10 a day. So annoyed tha a compromise with parking cost couldn’t be made given the inconvenience of the loft not in use. All first world problems I guess but I needed this trip as a treat as part of healing from some life stuff. A couple staff were lovely and personable so not all were abrupt like the young girl that checked me in. Shower is amazing and bed comfortable

Lift didnt work

The building is amazing, our room was big and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good and discounted. The only down side for our stay was the lift was out of order. Thanks to the staff for a great stay. Would recommend
