Very much worth the price. Was somewhat concerned about the autonomous nature of the hotel originally, but it was no issue at all. Staff was very quick to respond whenever we needed something.

Great boutique hotel conveniently located in the centre but not right in the crazy mix of downtown. Uniquely designed hotel, spacious and bright rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and good amenities. Close to buses and metro station, generally just a quick walk to food, entertainment, and many points of interest.

Amazing hotel. Stayed for a night. The bed was very comfortable for a Murphy, the bathroom was outstanding, the kitchenette was well equipped, and to our surprise there was a washer and dryer in the unit. Continental breakfast in the morning with an automatic espresso machine. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only strange part is they don’t have key cards. Instead there’s a key code you need to get in the front door and your room (and this was not sent to us in advance through Expedia).

This was the most unique and beautiful hotel I’ve stayed at. The room was so clean that even all the chrome was polished. The bed was so comfortable, we slept like babies. The body products were all natural made with essential oils. The car was parked across the road very close to the hotel. It contained a whole kitchen and laundry machines and a very big fridge. The bath fit two people nicely. All of the plates and mugs were hand made pottery. They had a nice makeup cloth and a natural oil to clean your makeup off. I was very impressed as someone who often stays at boutique hotels. I will return and recommended to my friends and family.

The hotel was overall good. The pool and many other amenities were not available which was very disappointing as that’s a large reason for booking this hotel. The floors in the room were concrete and seemed dirty (my feet were black after walking around for 5 minutes). The staff was nice and the lobby was clean. Happy to have a kitchen in the room. I didn’t realized the bathroom was see through (even the toliet) otherwise I would’ve picked a different place since I was staying with a friend.

Location of the hotel was good with easy access to UQAM metro - 5 min walk. The area honestly is not the nicest, but never really bothered us - depends how fussy you are. Nabil checked us in and was very helpful and explained everything. The room was smaller than I imagined but for a Grand Prix weekend when not spending much time, it was more than adequate and more of an apartment style and clean. Bathroom was beautiful - modern wet room style. I only leave reviews to help hotels and give customers a better experience so the next part of my review is constructive criticism and not a complaint - like I said it was a short break for us so we wanted a base. When I booked via Expedia it showed photos of a beautiful terrace (not private) but for people to share with two hot-tubs. This was completely mis-selling in my opinion. The roof top terrace was awful - weeds growing out over the patio like its never been used for months and the Hot tubs were completely out of use and totally disgusting. We had imagined taking a bottle of wine up there and enjoying it. Zero chance of that and for the price we paid I am extremely disappointed we could not use them. If the terrace and hot-tubs are not of interest to you, then I would recommend the hotel for sure - to be used as a base only for exploring and not a luxury hotel. Sadly the price I paid, I was expecting luxury and it never delivered that. Honest review and not a moan - hopefully management appreciates honest feedback. Thanks.

Check in was super easy. The room was unique and had everything that you could need and more for your stay in Montreal. We needed some help with the smoke detector battery, it was easy to communicate via text to have someone come fix it within a couple of hours. The property was clean and the bed was (somewhat shockingly) incredibly comfortable. Laundry/full kitchen was a bonus, we didn’t end up using but good to know for future. Nice central location with a Bixi bike station right outside. I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were great to deal with - Nabil in particular was friendly, helpful, and responsive. Boxotel is clean, and modern. Room was spacious and clean. Location was good - walking distance to Vieux Montreal (20 mins), and Place Des Arts (7 mins). The only part of the neighborhood that was concerning was walking along a brief stretch on Rue Ontario near Rue St. Laurent, but it's easily avoidable if you stick to the other side of the street.
