There was a MOUSE in my room. No effort to do anything, staff blamed nearby construction, as if that has anything to do with the lack of cleanliness and many holes that allow the rodents in. The lamp had a dangling lightblub with an exposed wire, mouse poop around the mini fridge, and it was wholly unsanitary. I really regret showering without flipflops, given the conditions, I worry about catching a fungus! Only use this hotel if you have no other option... I had a better option, but this one had free parking, so I thought, why not? MISTAKE. I would happily pay for parking with a clean room. Breakfast was meh, not bad, but certainly nothing special. A few baked goods, fruit, coffee/"tea" and orange juice... Oatmeal, pre-made mini pancakes... It will feed you if you're desperate but I just grabbed a muffin and an apple with some tea and water. Didn't wanna risk it too much. Staff were fine, just very unserious. Not really grasping how unsanitary, and technically illegal, it is to have a mouse infestation and continuing to rent out rooms... And I was on the second floor! I can't imagine how bas the first floor is! Oh, and ZERO temperature control. I couldn't sleep with clothes, or even a sheet over me and I still woke up in a puddle of sweat. Even turning on A/C didn't help because the heating system was stuck on 28 degrees. WAY too hot for sleeping! I even shifted the heater to "cool" and it still did nothing. Overall, one of my WORST hotel stays of my life.

Description of the room says carpeted floor, it was tiles that are uneven. Description also says there is a desk, there was none which made working remotely from the hotel room very difficult. It was a room with an exterior door that opens to the main driveway, this happened to be the exact spot deliveries were apparently made and I was woken by an 18 wheeler outside my window unloading things. The exterior room that opens to the driveway also meant that when the salt truck went by, my door was hit by salt at 5am which was very startling to wake up to. Finally the door had no weather stripping, it was -22 with the wind chill and very cold near the door. I still give it 2 stars. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, the room was clean, and the towels, sheets etc smelled fresh. The staff who checked me in was very polite, courteous, and it was a quick check in process.

Clean rooms and chill staff. Not a whole lot of things to complain except for the lights randomly blinking at night, but I assume that's just normal in Halifax (lol ghosts). Recommend it for travelers who wants a good place to rest and explore the city.

The staff was very polite aside from the girl who work nights. She is always grumpy. A smile goes a far way. There was this loud banging all night that was rather unsettling. My bed looked like whosoever made it couldn't be bothered with doing it properly. Aside from that everything else was perfect. I dont know who needs to hear this but it wouldnt cost much to add some full body mirrors to the rooms. Also it wouldnt cost much to give us 2 bottles of water. Costco sells water for cheap.

Definitely not worth the $100+ a night to stay there. Place is dirty, old, and they don't provide housekeeping services. Checkout process was unnecessarily complicated and long. Spend a little more and stay elsewhere.

Room was very basic but very clean. Temp was way too hot, tried to turn it off and put AC on but I think the thermostat behind the bed is on the main heat source and couldn't be adjusted by inside the room. Slept with the window open, eventhough the screen was missing. Luckily I was on the 2nd floor. Staff were pleasant. A real icemachine and a vending machine on site would have been nice. I havent been in a hotel using a real cut key for the room in a very long time. It didnt bother me, but would have been frustrating if our hands were full.

No nonsense place short on bells and whistles but good basic accommodation with everything you need. Could put wifi info in the rooms to avoid unnecessary trips to the lobby. Could also expand breakfast beyond carbs with carbs.
