DoubleTree by Hilton Beijing

Needs some renovations but overall experience was great!

The room was dirty until we asked for cleaning twice. It is quite a chore to open the room windows for fresh air. The price is too high for the room condition. Not going to stay there in the future

This is not a hotel for foreigners. 1.Room for 4 Travelers does not mean you get enough beds. Booked an Executve suite for our family of 4 and was told by the manager that we needed to pay extra for cots for our kids (11 and 13 yrs old ) as the room had only one bed. Pics on Expedia and Doubletree website show multiple beds in the room. Took a day and a talk with the GM to get two cots delivered making the room feel really cramped. 2. Free Breakfast We chose adding access to the Breakfast buffet which was a mistake. The manager tried to tell us that we didn’t pay for four (4) breakfasts because we only had a single bed. It wasn’t until we showed our Expedia confirmation for 4 People in the room did he grudgingly agree. Between this and the bed issue it was over an hour of trying to come to an agreement with the manager showing him confirmation emails and his one doubletree website showing the room pictures with multiple beds. The other reason not to choose to eat the breakfast buffet is it’s not that good and food quality is just so-so. Take a walk and find much better food in the mall located next to the hotel. 3. “Downtown” Is not true. Yes it’s in Beijing but not near anything. Expect to have to grab taxis to get around. And make sure you have Alipay! M

There was too much bacon and pork in the open buffet breakfast. I wish they had halal options.

Pretty decent and best in the area

everything is so noticeably great when you compare it with doubletree in US. Not to mention the price here is right below two thirds of US's. I even discovered that this hotel offer Peking roasted duck which is comparable to (and marginally better than) the famous brand.

Poor sound proof, you can hear people snoring next door.

The staff were friendly. The location is great, it’s nearby shops/restaurants. I like everything except the spa. The female spa needs deep cleaning. Hair everywhere. Seems like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages. Everything else was clean except the spa.

Friendly hotel staff and modernish facilities but required some maintenance

Nice hotel for the cost, great assortment breakfast worth trying, nice staff and service. The region is kinda busy, in a good way.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were only there on a stopover for 2 nights and had to pack a lot in. There was a mix up with our booking but the staff went out of their way to sort it out. The breakfast was one of the most well stocked we've experienced, which was great for our fussy children. The location was good for using the metro, which is a short walk away. And when we left, the staff were so helpful with getting us a taxi - the staff went above and beyond to help us out. Highly recommend this hotel.

Maybe the terrible check in was not due to the hotel itself, but for all foreigners to China

Nice hotel

Nice hotel but not as good as some of the other Hilton hotels I have stayed elsewhere. Staff is very friendly and helpful but rooms and facilities are old and aging and there are lots of noise from adjacent bathrooms. I ended up asking to change my room 3 times. A lot of time there is an unpleasant odour in rooms and corridors. Sport and pool facilities and the location is great.
