We highly recommend The Square. The location is great within walking distance of so many points of interest as well as close to the train and metro. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was very much appreciated as we stayed 3 nights in late June during a heat wave. The staff were amazing --- very friendly, helpful and attentive. We couldn't have asked for more. Our VIP Access bonus was access to the Executive Lounge which was open in the early evening for a variety of drinks and delicious snacks. It was perfect when we returned from a day of sightseeing!

It was such a great location and a pleasant stay. It's not a 4 or 5 star hotel but it's a great place to stay for a higher mid range hotel and a great value.

The room was very clean, no complaints. The hotel is centrally located with metro across the street which is a benefit however you have to be ok with noise. Our room was facing street/ the square and it was super loud. We had a sewer smell coming from bathroom and The air conditioner didn’t work well so it was difficult to keep windows open for a breeze due to the city noise. Again hotel is clean so no complaints there but if you need sleep after a long day out and have to deal with open windows due to air and unexpected sewer smell you won’t be happy.

I choose The Square base on the fact that it was newly refurbished so I had high expectations. It was substantially more expensive compared to other hotels of the same rating. The room was clean but the grouting in the shower was not. We have booked an executive king room however we were given a room with the view of a brick wall & 5 chimneys. The next day we queried whether if they had place us in the correct room. I expressed my disappointment. After that we were moved to the 5th floor with street view. The room was clean but we didn't sleep well due to the light coming through the top of the cutains. It defies the purpose of having blackout curtains. Eye masks and ear plugs were provided in the room. The Square is meant to be an eco- friendly hotel. It would make more sense if they just fixed the curtains instead. Breakfast was substantial however I witnessed a young toddler smearing his saliva all over the plates. The parents just let the child run amok and the other guests were none the wiser. Despite these minor issues all the staff were friendly and welcoming..

Hotel staff lovely and super helpful. Nice continental breakfast with a few hot options. Aircon could've been a bit cooler but wasn't enough to complain. Room was nice and quiet as I requested one at the back of the hotel. Great central location easy for train station, metro and literally next door to tivoli.
