Good hotel. Reception not manned 24h so you have to call the receptionist on a mobile number and this wasn't very late at night TBF and he did arrive quite quickly and also became the baramnwhic was handy.
The room was very quiet, well equipped it's just the noisy maids and their loud Wigan accents and laughter you have to put up with but not too bad if your NOT wanting a lie in.
Over all , great value for money and a very nice hotel in a lovely setting.

We have stayed at Kilhey Court on several occasions and always have an enjoyable break. The hotel is a little jaded in places but is perfectly acceptable for the price, and is always clean. The pool is not currently open but steps are being taken to reopen it when possible. What really makes this place stand out is the fabulous staff who work so hard to make your visit a good one, and always with a smile on their faces and a friendly word.

A last minute booking but very pleased with the comfort offered. It’s a shame the restaurant isn’t open but nearby dining options are easily in reach and very good.

the hotel was great and so was the staff.however we had bookes because of the spa which since the refeb had been shut.so we felt it was not that great value and would have picked somewhere else

Very enjoyable stay. Room excellent, bed very comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very nice. Only reason I've not given 5 stars are there wasn't a sign for reception and the TV sound on BBC1 in our room didn't work. Minor issues that didn't affect our stay and we think excellent value for money overall.

We stayed in one of the suites. The hotel had very few guests staying there as it was in-between Christmas and New Year yet the guests seemed to have been out near to each other. A nice touch would have been to space people out there was no need to have the distruptions of water running conversations and doors shutting. There was a basic set up no frills. The usual essentials soap shower gel and kettle but very basic and no frills. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous and the staff were excellent!!! The hotel was nice just a little on the no frills side. We enjoyd it we were told the bar would be open late it wasn't but that was ok I guess it wasn't worth it for such a small number of guests. Food was really nice and catered for some allergens with a free from station..

We received a btight cheery welcome with some helpful advice on nearby eating options. The upgrade room was spacious and comfortable with great views. Unfortunately there was a problem with lack of heating, hiwever a portable heater supplied from reception solved the problem.

Booked and paid for a suite with a double bed, on the day of the stay I was called and told there had been a maintenance issue and that room wasn’t available.
And check in when I asked, I was told that they had overbooked and I had been moved to a standard double, so someone had lied.
No offer of compensation or even a refund for the additional I had paid.
When i got to the room its was single beds so myself and finance had to book elsewhere.
Tried to check out and no staff could be found at the desk to do so, so I left my card and went.

A nice enough hotel let down by noisy residents. My room overlooked the front entrance and people were out there all night smoking and talking so audibly that I couldn’t get to sleep. My partner‘s bedroom, which was at the back of the hotel had constant footfall in the corridor, again from noisy residents who had obviously been on a night out.

Extremely average hotel. Could be nice, solid Victorian building but beautiful fireplaces not lit (on freezing night with snow) and minimal attention to detail and comfort. Deluxe room very basic, get more in a Premier Inn - but bed was comfortable. Nice dining room but no dinner served and disgusting self-serve breakfast. Cannot recommend, disappointing.

Stopped here two nights. However were on two separate bookings as plans changed. The second night the key card needed to be changed before could access room. Also the shower was stuck on the top hot setting which made showering extremely hazardous.

Was placed in an annex when the main building was clearly not busy. Room next to me had two dogs that barked constantly. Fire alarm also went off at 6am. Immediately collected my things and requested a refund of the rest of my stay which they denied - claimed I had to work with Expedia. Expedia put me in call center hell - so I opened a charge back.
I’ll not be using this hotel nor Expedia again.
