Lovely looking place in a beautiful setting. Rooms and hotel very clean. Comfortable stay. The hotel is a bit dated, shower curtain over bath. Looks like they are doing some refurbishing. A lot of stairs. Overall good food.

Enjoyed our seven night stay. Excellent service by amiable professionals. Will certainly return on a future visit.

It was convenient for my job and parking was great

One of the worst hotel stays I've experienced. I requested a ground floor room near the lobby, expecting the ground floor to be on the reception level, but instead I was given a room about as far away from reception as possible down several flights of stairs from reception. I noticed the stained carpet at the entrance to the bathroom immediately, but I was too tired from a really long day, to make the trek all the way back to reception with heavy bags at such a late hour, so resolved to just avoid stepping onto the mouldy carpet with bare feet. The room smelt musty, and on investigation discovered the large stain near the radiator, which was largely concealed by a chair. The room felt dirty overall, including blood stain on the desk chair, dirty bathroom (I has to remove several hairs from the bathroom floor and bath myself). The bed was comfy, which was the only saving grace. In the morning I rang through to reception several times for assistance with getting my heavy bags back up the several flights of stairs to reception, but the phone rang out every time unanswered, so was left to struggle alone. breakfast was fine but expensive at £18 and the overall price for the room selected (£140) was extortionate for the quality. I reported to reception how disgusted I was with the room and questioned why the guy hadn't answered the phone (which he apparently didn't hear, despite sitting right next to it), but no apology or offer of anything.Will never stay there again.

Lovely, would stay here next time in town.

Like an eclectic beautiful old friend, The Manor is a place that never fails to deliver. The staff who are all long serving are always helpful, considerate and care. The place is going through updates to bring it back to its finest and added to the good food & great cocktails we think its really good value.

Would stay here again, loved it!

Comfortable stay in an old English style manor.

Feels like you are in a country manor house. Really good service. Wonderful gardens

The manor side of the building was nicely decorated due to Xmas period. The staff was very kind and helpful. My room was in extremely poor condition: paint badly chipping, carpet heavily stained, wallpaper lifting, mould on the ceiling.

I had a good stay, however the room was quite cold and the mattress a little soft for my liking. The decor needed a few touch ups. Staff were very friendly.

Staff are in the wrong industry. Not very welcoming (apart from the lady organising breakfast) front desk was a process without a smile or welcome. As was check out. Poor lady at the bar was rushed off her feet and just couldn’t cope. Facilities are ok but came out thinking even a travelodge would have been more satisfying

I recently stayed at The Manor Elstree in Borehamwood, and it was such a lovely experience! The hotel is set in a stunning Edwardian country house with beautiful views of the Hertfordshire countryside. The whole place has a charming, peaceful vibe, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were really friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which made it even more enjoyable. My room was comfortable and clean, though I did feel it could use a little updating in places. The restaurant was great—delicious food, though the portions were on the smaller side. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous, and I can see why it's such a popular wedding venue. It’s such a picturesque spot, and I’d definitely recommend it for a romantic escape or a special occasion.

Very friendly and accommodating reception staff. Hotel itself not disabled friendly, lots of stairs but no lifts. Room a bit tired, tiny telly and overly soft bed, WiFi all but non existent. However, shower hot and powerful, lovely bar so overall will return in the future.

Hotel is ok even though it’s a little tired It needs a more comfortable and larger lounge area Newer wing is ok but needs maintenance But I stay there regularly

The staff were wonderful, kind, and aprochable, the hotel itself is wonderful, though showing a few signs of age and a little wear and tear, but everything in our room worked, the bed was comfortable the food was out of this world! Overall our stay was a wonderful experience and we hope to return there again for our wedding anniversery.

Very discreet property, lovely receptionist. Amazing parking availability. Huge room. Very comfortable bed. Bed so comfortable, great size. Small fridge in room which is great added touch. Great size bathroom and facilities for bath and shower. Would absolutely recommend. Didn’t choose breakfast so cannot comment on that, however will DEFINITELY rebook. Genuinely the best time.
