I liked this thistle better than the other thistle location I stayed in. It’s a bit bigger. AC is not up to typical American standards but the people were very friendly and it was clean and it was in an absolutely excellent location. Especially if you’re seeing anything at the Harold Pinter theater.

Very helpful and pleasant staff. Powerful walk in shower and kettle, mugs, coffee machine and fridge in room. Very quiet room in a central area though noise from adjoining rooms in the morning. Great value for money given location

Great location. Everything was so close. Very easy to get from airport. I also took a train to Edinburgh and it was very easy to get to King's Cross. Staff is very nice and helpful. Hotel is clean and relatively quiet considering it's so close to the busy areas.

Check in took so long I had to ask if the lady was new. She assured us she wasn't. The other receptionist was quicker and managed to check in other guests and have a loud and, to her, hilarious conversation with a friend in the time it took to check us in. We were asked to write our email and phone number on a piece of paper because "the check in form is too long to give you". Who knows what happened to our personal details on that piece of paper. The room is basic, as in it provides the basics - clean ensuite shower bathroom, clean reasonably comfortable bed, working TV, etc. It doesn't have gowns or the ability to ask for them, no shower caps even upon asking, no body lotion, no separate shampoo and shower gel, no tissues. Ours was a deluxe room, so I would have thought tissues at the very least would be provided. The breakfast is good. There's enough to find something to eat. Hot English buffet, continental and breads etc. No omelettes. Coffee wasn't great so drank tea. Breakfast staff were excellent and checkout staff were excellent. Free to leave luggage while you explore London before going home. Excellent location. Charing Cross is the nearest tube.
