Location, location, location. Right next to Chinatown, Leicester Square, National Gallery.

The room was clean and recently redecorated. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Shower was very poor, very low pressure and not hot, ran water for over 15 minutes

The location is good if you want to be in the heart of London. It is quite congested in that area, but close to many sites and easy to get to transportation. The service was lacking at this hotel. The check in staff were very kind and helpful, but we had some rough experiences with the rest of the staff. One example, we asked for a towel as there were three of us and only 2 towels. The woman at the front desk was very bothered that we asked and said she could not deal with that right now. The room was nice and the breakfast was good.

Lovely reception staff, comfy bed but unfortunately seemed to have been above a night club on the Friday night. Very loud music until 2am but next night was much better. No toiletries in bath room, had run out of shower gel and wasn’t replenished. Facilities in room slightly jaded but clean and comfortable. Shower over bath, ok for me but 6ft husband’s head hit ceiling!! But fabulous location which is what we wanted, next door to national gallery.

Nothing really wrong with my stay except I had a very small room - my fault as I booked at the last minute so that was the only room available. Breakfast was very nice but does get a little crowded around the serving area which makes moving around difficult. Staff were polite throughout.

The room was cosy and spotlessly clean. Staff were very friendly and we love that the hotel is so central to everything

The room I was in - 618 - is awful. Terrible lighting and configured in the worst manner possible. The bar fridge was placed under the work desk, rendering the desk inoperable (I had to move the fridge and it was still awkward/awful). Terrible shower configuration - anyone larger than me will be banging themselves on the controls if they try to turn around. Nowhere to open and unpack without consuming the minimal floor space. Adding to the discomfort, the power drill going outside my room from 10am was excruciating. (I appreciate repairs will be necessary, but how about restricting them to between checkout - 11 - and checkin - 3 - when most rooms will be empty?) This used to be my go-to for London but increasingly it feels like it’s going downhill. 🙁

Our room stank of cigarette smoke - as did most of the hallway. Although the entire hotel is NON-SMOKING. We complained and received the tacit apology. Not good enough.
