It is an old well mainted hotel, the rooms are spacious compare to the other hotels that we stayed. Good Breakfast and friendly staff. Very close to the Main Train station and turists walking areas.

The hotel is very conveniently located. It's very close to all transportation. It is a few stop away from all major sightseeing areas. The room was clean, cozy and well maintained. I would stay here again if I visit Munich again. Highly recommended.

I cannot for the life of me understand the glowing reviews if this property. This property is shabby at best. My room smelled of cabbage and sewage which I chose to overlook. However after having a hot shower the room filled with a cloud of hot sewage mist that was so strong I couldn’t sleep. I called the hotel to see if I could get a fan, however, they do not staff the hotel between 11 and 6 am

Hotel was in a great location for train and subway and walking to Marienplatz and Old Town. We found everything we needed nearby. The staff Was super helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants. Air conditioning worked beautifully. The breakfast was the highlight as all reviewers have mentioned. Amazing!

Had trouble logging on at first. The other main red flag was it was so hot. We would not have booked this hotel if we would have know it was not air conditioned. Coming from Texas it made a lot of difference. Also don't remember reading that the rooms were not cleaned daily. We had to go to the second floor and get our own towels and anything else we needed. I did not know I was going to pay and then wait on myself. The girls at the front desk would not even see if she could put us close to the couple we were traveling with. The gentleman that was the bartender for the night was super helpful.

Our stay could have been better if not for the room assigned to us. Though we had requested for a higher floor room months in advance and also for early check in weeks before, we were given a room on the lowest floor directly across from a construction site. The male attendant who checked us in also demanded to see our 3rd party booking email even though we had already completed an online checked in with the required details.

Plus: rent rum och hotellet generellt. Mycket bra säng. Air condition som funkar bra. Kylskåp och bra förvaring. Bra urval på frukost buffén. Trevlig personal. Fin garage. Minus: badrummet (toalett, vask och liten duschhörna) var litet, bara en liten hylla under spegeln och en inne i duschen för att ställa saker. En skjutdörr av glass (dock inte genomskinlig) till badrum/toalett. Men de positiva punkter är övervägande! Tyvärr håller de på att riva/bygga ny en hel block precis intill hotellet. Så det var oljud från bygget hela veckan.

Had a great stay last week at Hotel Metropol. The location (<5 mins from the main station,) worked great for us as we travelled both in Munich and further afield. The staff in the hotel (reception and breakfast room) were always friendly and helpful, making sure we had what we needed. Our room was spacious and well equipped, having the balcony meant we could sit out and even leave the door open overnight (it was hot last week). If returning to Munich Hotel Metropol would definitely be somewhere we would look to stay at again

Liked having a balcony with table and 2 chairs. Room was decent size with comfortable beds and good AC. Located close to Central train station/easy walk.
