Athens Tower

A bit minimalistic but comfortable enough for a short stay.

I stayed at Athens Tower and, although the location is excellent, my experience was disappointing. The entrance to the property is dirty, lacks security, and doesn’t resemble a hotel entrance. The front desk staff saw me enter with luggage, a stroller, and a baby, and didn’t even bother to open the door. There was no assistance offered—just the keys handed to me, with no guidance or support. The bathroom was also not properly cleaned; there was hair in the shower, which shows a lack of attention to hygiene. I don’t believe this property deserves to be on Expedia’s VIP list. These details matter, especially for travelers with young children who need to plan accordingly

We enjoyed our stay at Athens Hotel Tower! The room was clean and the rooftop restaurant was delicious with a stunning view of the Acropolis. The entrance is a little uninviting but the location is super. The bathroom was very tight.

The rooms were clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. However, the hotel is on one of the busiest streets in Athens and has a nightclub as its top floor. Coupled with other clubs nearby, the banging music didn't stop till gone 02:00 each morning. If you are one of those that likes to be tucked up in bed by 21:00-22:00, look elsewhere. The lifts, directly accessible from the street, were always in constant use by people heading up to the club, and there's nothing stopping them, or others, from passing the doors to the rooms, which felt a little unsafe at times.

This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. Do not be fooled by the positive reviews of people impressed by the views of the Acropolis (which yes, they are good); however views do not make a 4 star rating for the accommodations. Dismiss the following facts at your own peril: 1) the hotel is quite noisy well into the night. 2) there is no lobby or grand entrance to speak of, again not a quality in a 4 star property. 3) The breakfast is fine.. but it is just a normal continental breakfast with no distinctive food choices. 4) The room decorations are simplistic and cheap. The bathroom uses a cheap Walmart white wire style holder for the toilet paper. The shower does not have hooks for the towels and they provide some hacky hooks that fall off every time you pull on the towel; again chinsty details that belong under a 3 star rating. 5) Security issues. The hotel hosts a rooftop bar which gets a lot of traffic. People can get easy access into all floors as the floor doors are never left closed. Good luck getting into the small elevators when there is high demand; you'll have to lug your luggage through the stairs. Again, this is not a 4 star property. Read other negative reviews, they are true, I only wished I took them seriously beforehand

I like the central location of this property it was easy walkable access to everything I wanted to see. Once you’re in the hotel it’s great. The area is a busy but not uninspected

Near shopping areas restaurants acropolis the agoras are within walking distance Walkable neighborhood with.many taverns to drink and eat for all budgets.

Great room, great view, great rooftop restaurant!

This place was nice. It’s right at the base of the acropolis. Easy walk up. Centralized to many shops, stores etc. it’s in the Hustle/ Bustle area but I enjoyed that. Spent a lot of time looking at street art. Coffee shop across the street was awesome as well and the Astro rooftop bar/ restaurant was top notch as well. I had breakfast every day in the restaurant and drinks at night in the bar. Friendly staff.

Family stay 3 nights. Apart from the window being unprotected from children opening, the hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice with a fantastic view. Superb location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Recommend.

Great hotel great location and awesome service

No way this property is rate at 4 stars -2 stars at best. Bathroom was stinky, no working vent. Badly deco. Hallway was smelly.
