This hotel is very suitable for children's holiday choices because it is very kids friendly, there are 2 swimming pools with a pool slide (back) and a regular one (front) with a cruise ship-style building, then there is a train toy right above the swimming pool, there are scooters, bicycles, playground & cycling around the garden is also possible. Then the breakfast menu is crazy with lots of variations, basically the breakfast menu is the best (ice cream, popcorn, takoyaki, noodles, national/expat menus, cakes, and lots of children's snacks. Very close to Gembira Loka Zoo (10 minutes). Oh yes, choose a room with a balcony view of the garden, if the weather is clear you can get a view of Mount Merapi.

When I wanted to book, I first checked the walk-in rate at the hotel... eh, it turned out to be cheaper on the app. Finally, I bought 2 rooms and 2 nights. I asked for a room with a beautiful view... and praise God, I got a room with a very beautiful view of Merapi (plus Merbabu peeking a bit) and coincidentally the first day I stayed, the weather was very pleasant and Merapi was clearly visible. The sunset was also very beautiful from my room. The staff was friendly... when I wanted to show the room, they showed me and explained it well. The room is quite friendly for elderly people like my 75-year-old mother. Next time, I will definitely stay there again.

Our first stay at the Grand Orchid Yogyakarta was yesterday, September 25-26, 2025, with my husband for a vacation in Yogyakarta. Everything was highly recommended. From the moment we arrived, security was on hand to direct us to the parking area. The customer service was also excellent, friendly, greeting us with smiles and polite words. When we arrived, we happened to be on the 9th floor, specifically in room 906, located in the far right corner, so we had a view of the street in front of the hotel. The room was quite spacious and clean, both the bedroom and bathroom. The facilities were also quite good. The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, complete with a clean interior and outdoor area. Overall, for those of you who are looking for a recommended hotel in Yogyakarta, please try the Grand Orchid Yogyakarta. 👌🥰 So... we will be staying at the Grand Orchid Yogyakarta again next time with my husband and family. 😍 Thank you

Friendly and very helpful receptionist during check in and check out. Clean bedroom, cold AC. Clean bathroom, with hot water shower facilities, toothbrush and toothpaste and clean white fragrant towels. Got breakfast, three types of delicious cakes plus coffee and tea. Quiet and comfortable environment, I can sleep soundly until morning, If I go to Yogyakarta, I want to stay at KHH again, Thank you Ms. A*** and Mr. J***
