Hotel Kajikaso

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We booked one of the rooms with private onsen and half board. It was very spacious and clean, and a great view. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The public baths were large and and not too busy before dinner. There are complimentary drinks in the lobby at check-in and at breakfast, but also a kettle and tea bags and a mini-fridge in our room.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Totally. From a wonderful, healthy breakfast to a foot spa, clean room, absolutely great service and coffee/tea readily available almost 24/7, this is what I call a truly Japanese hotel and experience. I look forward to my return. Thank you!

Clean room, kind staff, nice location

This was our second stay (our last time was 20 years ago!) and we had a wonderful time. The place is maintained well, the facilities are clean, the breakfast and dinner were tasty, and the hot springs were excellent. The staff members were all very helpful and responsive too. We highly recommend this ryokan, which is conveniently located a short walking distance from Hakone Yumoto station.

We stayed in a room with a privet onsen. But still used the public baths. It was amazing no where does hospitality like Japan and this was a wonderful experience of Japanese hospitality.

Very nice tatami room, simple with 2 low chairs to sit at. Lovely view of the river. Onsen on the 6 floor was a great experience with the outdoor tubs. Dining times were a little early for us at 5:30 or 6:30, traditional Japanese food beautifully presented. A good value stay

I could enjoy Hakone at Hotel Kajikaso very properly.

Location is very convenient as it's a 3 min walk from Hakone-Yamato station. The onsen public bath is spectacular with baths inside and outside! The hotel is old but well maintained.

Great location in Hakone. Get the room with your own onsen it is worth every penny. Staff is so accomodating and Gabriel was outstanding. Massues was great as well.

Good location, about 400m from Train Station. Near to shops

Family-friendly property but definitely a bit dated. The elevators had a funky smell. The living space was huge and the in-room bottomless beer amenity was pretty cool. Overall, it wasn’t bad for a short weekend trip to Hakone.

Absolutely stunning hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and extremely attentive. They represent the hotel very well. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private onsen and the view of the mountains and the river below was wonderful, very peaceful. The room included in room dinner and breakfast service and this was such an amazing treat. Our guest assistant was excellent, she seemed to be so happy and enthusiastic to serve all the time. At one point, I had been playing with the coffee machine, trying to rescue a pod that didn't quite work and she noticed me doing this even while she was clearing up breakfast and came and made me a coffee completely on her own initiative. The food was so delicious and fresh and beautifully presented. In everything we felt thoroughly spoilt. It was a wonderful 2 night stay.

Amazing service scenery and location with onsen in room

Wonderful stay, the staff were very attentive and the onsen beautiful and very well kept and relaxing. The town is worth visiting. Definitely a highlight in our trip.

Good experience of Japanese hotel with onsen inside and outside big so not crowded in fact I had onsen to myself in morning

Amazing place. Very attentive to kids in such a high-end establishment. Nice and close to the train station and with 2 x kids 6 and 2. We had an amazing time with personal in-room onsen.
