I had an absolutely wonderful stay at JR Inn Hakodate! The location is unbeatable, right next to Hakodate Station, making it super convenient for exploring the city and catching the morning market just a short walk away. The rooms were spotless, modern, and surprisingly spacious, with comfy beds that ensured a great night’s sleep. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to help with recommendations and directions. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—fresh, varied, and packed with local Hokkaido specialties. The free onsen-style bath was a relaxing treat after a day of sightseeing. Overall, fantastic value for money and a perfect base for enjoying Hakodate. Highly recommend!

Very close to the JR station, so it’s very easy to access. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The female public pool felt slightly unclean. Other than that, the room is comfortable, no bottled water given but you can boil the water yourself.

Connected to Jr Station, top floor has free coffee/tea to drink as you sit and enjoy the night view of the city. Main bus terminal steps outside hotel, tram stop 5 minutes walk away, easy to get to all tourists sites. Shower water pressure strong.

Just next to JR station, few minutes walk to morning market. Location is perfect. Some of the rooms face the train station, very good view especially in snow. Public bath is good for relaxing. Room is in decent size.

located right next to the JR station and other major sightseeing places, and the JR INN provides the best service with great staff members. I didnt have breakfast in the hotel(the biggest rival, the Hakodate morning market is standing right next to the hotel) but I witnessed many people walk into hotel’s restaurant.

The hotel is adjacent to the JR Hakodate train station and the bus stops are in front of the hotel. The tram stop is close by. Walkable to the Bay Area attractions, close to water front. The morning market is just 1-2 minutes walk, the red brick house warehouse is about 10 minutes walk. Easy access to other major attractions. Staff members were friendly. We were early and they let us check in early. The public bath is on the 12th floor which has a beautiful view. The room is compact but functional. I will choose the hotel again next time visiting Hakodate.
