DoubleTree by Hilton Johor Bahru

Great hotel, too bad the pool was under renovation during our stay. My only concern was the aircon and light switch in the room. The aircon seems to only be on one temperature, no matter how you adjust it and the main room light switch was not working. Other than that, all was great

Clean room and good bellhop service

A nice and clean hotel in JB. With its own parking. A little distance to the malls. Hotel is nice and quiet.

We were welcomed with a piping hot cookie each from DoubleTree Hilton as soon as we checked in. Our kids signed up for a complimentary cookie making session and at the end of it get to bring home all the cookies they made. Staff is always courteous and polite, going out of their way to make guests feel welcomed. Top notch service by the hotel crew. Looking forward to return to DoubleTree!

Front desk staff not friendly.

A bit dated but clean and well maintained. Staff very responsive. Breakfast has a good range and is very good. The pool was being refurbished but they had back up options which I appreciated. Walkable to mall and JB Sentral.

e always choose DoubleTree whenever we stay in JB because of its convenient location and good service. However, during this stay, we experienced issues with the air conditioning. The room started off “okay but could be colder,” then gradually became warm, and by the second night we woke up sweating even with the temperature set to 16 degrees. A technician came to check and mentioned that if the issue was still not resolved after he tried to “bypass the system,” we should request a room change. Since we were checking out the next day, we didn’t want the hassle of packing and moving all our belongings late at night, so the staff arranged another room on a different floor for us to sleep in while leaving our luggage in the original room. It was inconvenient, but necessary as the room had become extremely uncomfortable. We also experienced a similar issue during a previous stay when my elderly parents had to change rooms due to the air conditioning, though thankfully that happened on the first day. That said, I would still like to commend the staff for their service recovery efforts. They genuinely tried their best to help, quickly arranged an alternative room for the night, and even offered us complimentary breakfast the next morning, which we did not request for. We will still choose to stay at DoubleTree because of the service and location, but we do hope the rooms and air conditioning systems can be better maintained moving forward.

Stayed only 1 night but totally pleased. Very clean. A very short ride to KSL.

Clean room and checking in was fast. Staff at front desk was polite and efficient. Buffet breakfast spread was a variety. But road traffic was bad due to heavy construction around the JB central.

The staff were friendly. Bonus: the hot cookies they give!

Hotel is excellent. Location is great and near to CIQ and shopping and good food. I enjoyed my stay.

Check in staff was not the most proactive. Needed prompting to problem solve. Check out staff were great and most helpful

Clean room and breakfast selection was great.

Bathroom sliding door is hard to open and close. Ceiling shower head is tilted sideways.

Please do not stay there now. Hotel is ongoing renovation for their pool and the noise is unbearable
