Very well maintained property. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Only issue was at check-in. I had reserved a room for a half day as my flight left in the evening. I had my text message from the hotel stating it would be $50 extra which I agreed to. Lady at the desk had to see the text. Take a screen shot and make a phone call to get approval. Rest of the stay was fine.

It's a good place to stay, right at the heart of Thamel. Loads of shops and restaurants close by and wonderful service by the whole team.
I really like a few team members at the restaurant and gym. I can’t recall all their names now but remember one who was very kind and extremely helpful - Radha!

Absolutely disgusting. There are up charges for everything. Do not use the bar or restaurant, the staff is paid based on how much they bill out. Bartenders and servers will add extra charges to your bill. And as a going away present, $100 for the airport shuttle. Unreal.
I saw so many other guests upset about all the bogus charges. The staff doesn’t care nor does the management. I strongly recommend not staying at this dump.

Aloft is located in the heart of Thamel, which is where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars that cater to foreign travellers appears to be concentrated. There's a shopping centre attached to the hotel and getting a taxi was easy. The onsite restaurant (Nook) and the bar (WXYZ) were good. I would stay here again next time I'm in Kathmandu.
