The valet parking attendant. He was spectacular. Helped us unload and load the car, good conversation, recommended restaurants and areas to walk our dog. He stood out among a great staff.

We were given a room immediately after 2:00 pm without having to wait. When the heating in the first room was not working, the staff promptly moved us to an upgraded room on a higher floor with more space, which we appreciated. The coffee machine in the room was also not functioning properly. The staff made an effort to repair it, and while the issue was not fully resolved, the machine had to be manually stopped to prevent over-pouring, it was at least usable.

This is the third Marriott hotel ive stayed in this year after the ones in D.C. and in Vienna..this one easily the worst..i feel bad saying that cause people at the concierge were helpful. However, the cleaning team was a disaster..to start off, we were staying for 10 days. Upon arrival we wwre assigned a room that literally smelled like sewage..we were too tired to say anything so we endured that evening..the next day we spoke to the front desk and they moved us to another room saying: "this one is on the other side of the building so there shouldnt be a problem with the smell"..which tells me they knew about the problem and they gave us the room anyway cause hey who cares right? Anyway..we stayed in a family room (with me my wife and two kids ages 8 and 5)..i had to push one of the beds towards the wall to make sure my 5 year old doesnt fall off the bed. Doing that revealed a huge stain on the carpet plus dirt on the floor..in a nuttshell, i notified the front desk 4 times about it..the first time the housekeeping simply moved the bed back in its place to cover the dirt...spoke to them again..they tried to clean the stain but not the floor..after the 4th time they changed the rug but they STILL didnt clean the floor..my goodness..they called to see if i had comments i truly didnt care at that point so i didnt tell them that the floor was still dirty...one last note...at that price range and no smart tv? That is just unacceptable

Our family stayed here for a few nights before disembarking on a rive cruise. We picked this hotel because of the location and we needed the ease of an American style hotel. We booked a room that would hold 4 of us. Very close to the Museum district and restaurants. I would mention that the check in and concierge help was a bit slow. But that's me coming from New York. Recommend.

My biggest issue was the inconsistency with staff. While all were friendly, there were issues everywhere. 1. My Bonvoy number was not recorded properly, lots of confusion surrounding it. 2. At check in, I was told repeatedly that there was no room service breakfast. I said no, I understand the room I booked includes breakfast downstairs but if I pay for it, extra, I can have it delivered to my room. No we don’t offer that. Suffice to say it was a communications breakdown, lost in translation, whatever. I did get breakfast delivered and charged to my room. 3. I placed my order via the digital system. I entered specific requests where they left space for me to do so. This worked great for two dinners. And one breakfast. The first breakfast was a disaster; not one note was read or acknowledged. No cup for the tea. No milk for the tea. Scrambled eggs not egg whites. Etc etc. 4. I booked and prepaid for a car to take me to the Amsterdam Cruise Terminal. At the time of checkout, a tour group was departing and an American was arguing over his bill. The staff were spinning but no one more than the doorman. I told him I had booked a car, prepaid and he would be there soon. I had to checkout first. He came back two minutes later, flustered. I said he’s here? Yes! I said great, pls load the luggage and I will be right out. Basically, I was put in wrong car. My guy calls my cell. Drivers were great. We meet and switch! But staff were over their heads by one tour group! Yikes!
