Very nice hotel, friendly staff. Beds were very comfortable. Short distance away from major attractions. It is near some strip clubs, but not noisy at all. We had no issues.

Really nice, clean hotel. Well located, within walking distance of major attractions with the added benefit of a bus stop outside for the hop on, hop off service.
Only slight negative was the knowledge and communication of staff at breakfast. My wife is coeliac and the information varied depending on who you spoke to. She ended up using her own cereal to be safe.

It was a very small room but had a good air conditioning system which was essential during our heatwave visit (Aug 2025). Lovely staff. The breakfast was a bit disappointing, waffles and pancakes, which I was looking forward to, were both hard and not freshly cooked. The hotel is very well situated in town.

The decor was dated, but clean enough. The rooms are really noisy. You’ll hear every time the neighbors close their closet or walk to the bathroom. The “skybar” is advertised but we were told is inaccessible all year because of private events. The area is safe and quiet-ish though. The pillows? Those things are heaven. The bathtub is a bit of a death trap.

The first room we were put in was very unclean. We were moved to a new room where the curtains we very unclean, they had large dirty marks all over them. I would not stay in this hotel again!!! The manager has promised money back from our stay but also promised he would put this in an email with in an hour. This was over 4 hours ago. Very disappointing!!!

Great stay in a very well located position. Just a 10 minute walk to a tram stop and a stones throw from the castle etc. some took a have castle views.

The room on first floor was situated over the street with floor to ceiling windows. Getting ready in wee hours was like a cave with window shades needing to be closed for privacy. No mirrors near any outlets for hair tools. Felt like a cave. Stayed at this Doubletree before and other rooms were better. Lived previous visit, this room was meh.

It was good. I had a free early check-in. They gave free freshly baked warm cookies upon checkin. The breakfast is good too. In the evening they have free muffins and donuts because of Women’s day. Location is good too.
