The hotel was in a convenient area where you can walk to the shops and to the train station. The breakfast had a good selection of food.

Rooms are small and very tired looking. Windows are frosted so limited natural light and felt a bit like a prison. Only one bedside table, no tea/coffee making facilities, the curtains were stained and generally looking very tired and in need of tlc. Pillows weren’t great, very flat but the bed itself was ok. Quite expensive stay for what you get.

Many rooms open onto internal light shaft and currently full of scaffolding. My elderly mum found it v claustrophobic. After several minutes of insisting there were no other rooms available staff miraculously found two. so called VIP access poor - discount on non alcoholic drink and snacks only in student union style bar.

Second time staying here and once again very happy. Staff are lovely and friendly, rooms are very clean and whilst compact, they are perfectly suitable for a short city break. Very handily placed right in the centre of Glasgow for transport, shops and pubs/restaurants, but in a very quiet street. The only (small) issue was the poor pressure in the shower but we were on the 8th floor so maybe that’s why! Breakfast was plentiful even when going towards the end of the session, and there was plenty to choose from. All in, very happy and will definitely stay again!

Had a good stay, we didn't actually spend that much time in the hotel apart from to sleep but it was very clean, modern and reasonably comfortable. Staff we spoke with were all kind and welcoming. Bar was open 24/7 for anyone who wanted to use it.

Not a great experience. First room on arrival - room 316 - spacious room but when we opened curtains there was no daylight as the outside of building was covered over and scaffolding went up to window. We were in darkness and could not open the window and curtains to that sight. Reception staff advised building works were going on (we had not been informed of this) and that “this is not a good room” but could move us to another room as hotel “wasn’t full” We were heading to a concert so moved after at 00.30. New room - room 803 - smelt of damp as soon as we walked in then realised after unpacking that the air conditioning unit was dripping water above main door - carpet very wet and smelly. Because we’d unpacked AGAIN and the fact it was very late we went to bed and decided to deal with it in the morning. We informed staff and were told “this is quite common with the aircon units” but would be happy for us to move AGAIN. We said absolutely not AGAIN as we were here to enjoy ourselves, not to keep wasting our time moving rooms but not happy at the situation. We were offered 2 free drinks….. Wow! Absolutely disgusted that we paid £310 for 2 nights here and get offered 2 free drinks.

Terribly dark room not helped with scaffolding outside the window, small too. Definitely not value for money and one of the strangest places I’ve stayed.
