The Garrison

Expedia booking said breakfast included , hotel staff said it was not. Expedia booking said booked at Garrison Hotel, but we were actually booked at Garrison Apartments which is 0.2 mile away. We still had to check in at the Hotel location then drive 0.2 mile away to apartment . All the parking at apartment was full , so unload luggage and then drive around Fort William looking for parking. Found parking 1 mile away and then walked back .

We stayed at the Garrison Appartments, 6 of us in total consisting if a party of 4 adults & 2 kids. Excellent property and facilities in centre of town.

The room was clean, the staff were attentive and the snacks in the room were complimentary! A wonderful place to spend the evening before our bus back to Edinburgh. A short walk from everything!

Good breakfast, great rooms very clean , lift not working

I don’t think I would stay here again. The room was quite hot — we visited in the summer and did our best to keep it cool with an open window, but the ongoing construction on the property outside our window made that undesirable too. The shower had very low pressure and did not heat up properly. The lift was out for our entire stay (when we checked in we were told an engineer was looking at it, and that seemed untrue). The walls were thin and we could hear everybody coming and going (the doors naturally closed loudly too). We were given a paper at check in that said we would get complementary coffee downstairs, but when we asked for it staff told us we would need to pay. The location was convenient and the room was clean.

There were not enough fans on property to accommodate all of the rooms, which is unfortunate and extremely uncomfortable on a warm evening. The windows were open to try and let cool air in which brought bugs into the room. Otherwise, the rooms were generally clean and most of the staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok. If you’re a coffee lover, go elsewhere. The town is quite charming as well.

Stayed at apartment which was clean and with great views, great to have a washer and dryer combo, 5 minute walk to shopping and restaurants. Would stay again!

The rooms were nice if a bit small. The breakfast was the best that we had of all of our hotels in Scotland. You get to order off a menu and it was delicious and very well-made.

Great location and very central to town. Parking was confusing as they have a small lot out back and some dedicated parking in the back with little signage. The check in process was a little painful, but the room was updated, clean, and included everything we needed. Breakfast was also good, but definitely give yourself at least a hour to order and eat. There are a lot of doors in this hotel which just made it hard to navigate with luggage, but not a dealbreaker by any means. Would recommend staying here!

Great and close to shopping and restaurants

No AC. Room was super hot. Elevator not working and we were on the top floor. Small window that looked out at a wall 2 ft away. Rooms are very, very small. Parking was really small and tight in the back.

Excellent experience in this modern, comfortable hotel. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the rooms very well appointed.

The room was comfortable and easy to access in the first floor. The location was convenient as we were only here for 2 nights. Thebon-aite restaurant was convenient for our breakfast prior to checkout.

Clean basic rooms & great breakfast with a hot cooked meal available and included in price of room.

We stayed here for two nights and rented the apartment as there were 4 people. The apartments are not at the hotel site and you have to drive away about 4-5 minutes. They are very old and the floors creek at every move. The bed in the main bedroom was only full size and was too small for two people. The only mirror they had was in the bathroom, which was very inconvenient for doing makeup. They should have a place to hang towels. They had secured Wi-Fi, which was nice. The kitchen was nice. I’ve had all amenities. It would have been nice to have Kleenex box.
