Hotel Scheuble

Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our room. The room was a good size and very clean. The breakfast was excellent and included a freshly prepared omelette. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was given a higher rating than I think it deserved. Breakfast was just average. Staff was very good. There were some restaurants nearby and others a short walking distance. It was close to main train station.

We arrived early in the morning and were given the optionfor an early check-in rather than wait for an upgrade. We went for the early check-in and the room met all of our needs. So happy to be able to unpack and chill for a bit. We were close to the train station, shops, and restaurants.

Clean, excelent location, quiet, convenient and beautiful. Staff was helpful, professional, knowledgeable and kind. We loved our stay!

Great breakfast. Wonderful location. So many dining options nearby. Clean room, comfy bed, hot shower. WIsh there was an iron in the room, and a refrigerator would be useful.

Excellent location, everything was in walking distance. Staff were very friendly professional and helpful. Monica provided us with an appropriate map and told us about walking routes, places of interest and restaurant recommendations.

There is no iron in the room, which is always helpful for people who travel. Love the Scheuble, have stayed about 8 times. Great location, wonderful breakfast.

I wish the had better toiletries for the shower. The shower also tended to exceed the limits and spread water on the floor. We had to be careful in that respect, and wasted a lot of towels to keep it contained. Otherwise the room was comfy. We had a balcony which was sweet. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast was excellent, room really nice. Showed up unexpectedly early and they checked me in, no problem. No restaurant or bar at hotel, but loads of restaurants within 5 mins walking.

Hotel Scheuble is a lovely, boutique hotel in an excellent location in old town Zurich. My room was super clean with a very comfortable bed and brand new linens. Slept so soundly! The morning breakfast outstanding and central reception lounge, super cozy and upbeat. Will definitely be staying here again next time I come to Zurich!

We paid for a larger twin room, and were glad we did so, as it gave larger beds, a balcony and seating area, and a proper bathroom (I believe most of the double rooms are very cramped, and have just a glass cubicle within the room for the shower room). Nespresso machine and kettle were helpful, though an iron in the room would have been appreciated. On three days in a row we reported that our safe wasn't working - on the third day they finally changed the battery, but it now showed an error code. This did reflect the lack of interest that some reception staff seemed to have, and no offer was made to store our valuables, nor any haste to try and help. There was no aircon, and the international TV channels didn't work. That aside, the room was comfy, clean and just a 10 minute walk from the main station, and with loads of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk, and near a tram stop. Breakfast was fine and in a nice conservatory area - eggs cooked to order by helpful staff, and decent rolls and bread, plus hams, salmon, cheese, yoghurt, cereals, granola and muesli. The fruit juices though were very poor quality, and they could benefit from offering more fruit.
